We are looking for Supper Club volunteers for August and September! The🩷on the calendars indicate the evenings when we still need volunteers.

Does preparing dinner for 54 guests sound a little overwhelming? Don’t worry—we’ve got you covered! Our Supper Club recipe book includes meal ideas designed for groups, and our amazing kitchen staff will be there to help if you need them and ensure your meal is a success.

Gather a group of friends, family members, or coworkers and join us for a meaningful evening of preparing and serving dinner to the women staying in our overnight shelter.

We're currently running low on new women's underwear in all sizes, and this is one of our most requested essential items.

A simple donation of new, unopened women's underwear provides comfort, dignity, and confidence to women experiencing homelessness. 💗

📣 We're excited to share that this September the National Women's Shelter Network Conference is coming to Tucson! 🎉

Sister José Women's Center is thrilled to welcome shelter leaders, advocates, service providers, and changemakers from across the country as they come together to share ideas and learn from one another.

The Annual Conference includes over 50 presentations and breakout sessions, exciting keynote speakers, and their very own workshopping resource center to connect shelters and safe haven programs to resources tailored to their needs.

Hundreds of shelter leaders and other experts, national allies and partners, as well as key government officials and stakeholders, will attend as we aim to advance the status of women, children, youth and families experiencing homelessness across the country and the shelters and safe havens that serve them.

Last night, we were honored to welcome Governor Katie Hobbs and members of her team to Sister José Women's Center as they volunteered during our Supper Club.

Together, they helped prepare and serve a wonderful meal for the women we are privileged to serve. Our guests were incredibly grateful for the delicious dinner, warm conversations, and kindness shown throughout the evening.

A sincere thank you to Governor Katie Hobbs and her team for spending the evening with us and supporting this important program. We would also like to thank our Board Members who joined us, and a very special thank you to our founder, Jean Fedigan, for welcoming Governor Hobbs and providing a tour of our Center.

Supper Club is one of our most meaningful volunteer opportunities, and we are always looking for individuals and groups to help prepare and serve dinner. Sharing a meal is about so much more than food, it provides connection, dignity, and a sense of community for women experiencing homelessness.

As we begin a new fiscal year at Sister José Women's Center, we are excited to embrace a renewed Mission and Vision that reflect both who we are today and where we are headed.

Our Mission
We help women create a path forward by offering a safe, nurturing sanctuary where their needs are met with respect, dignity, and compassion.

Our Vision
We strive for a compassionate community where every woman is embraced by a sanctuary of safety, love, stability, and all-encompassing care to recognize her inherent strength, reclaim her dignity, and thrive with independence and confidence.

This new year represents more than the start of another chapter, it is an opportunity to strengthen our impact, deepen our partnerships, and continue providing hope, dignity, and opportunity to every woman who walks through our doors.

To our donors, volunteers, community partners, Board of Directors, and dedicated staff: thank you for believing in our mission and making this work possible. Together, we will continue building a future where every woman has the support she needs to heal, thrive, and find lasting stability.
