🍽️ Supper Club Shout-Out!

There’s something special about gathering around a meal, and we are incredibly grateful for the amazing people who continue to show up for the women staying in our Overnight Shelter. 💗

Today we’re giving a big Supper Club shout-out to some of the wonderful groups who have recently joined us around the table: Tucson Federal Credit Union; Jim Murphy, formerly of Kingfisher, along with volunteer Karyn Zoldan and their crew; and our very own Lindsey and Charli!

Thank you for sharing your time, talents, and a delicious meal with our guests. Each of you helps make Sister José a place of connection, community, and belonging.

And now we need your help filling our November Supper Club calendar!
November is the perfect time to give back. Gather your coworkers, friends, family, service group, or organization and spend an evening preparing and serving dinner for the women in our Overnight Shelter. Groups of up to 8 volunteers join us from 3:30–6:00 PM.

📅 Our November calendar is included below—look for the 💗 pink hearts! Those are the evenings we still need Supper Club volunteers. Grab your crew, choose a date, and join us for an evening of good food, connection, and giving back.

Yesterday was a special day at Sister José Women’s Center as we held our first-ever staff retreat! 💗

It was powerful to step away from our day-to-day responsibilities and come together as one team, united by one mission: helping women create a path forward by offering a safe, nurturing sanctuary where their needs are met with respect, dignity, and compassion.

The day was filled with teamwork, collaboration, reflection, laughter, and plenty of fun. Most importantly, it gave us the opportunity to connect with one another and recognize that, no matter our individual roles, each of us plays an important part in the work we do and the lives we touch every day.

We shared ideas, learned from one another, celebrated all that we accomplish as a team, and even enjoyed a sound bath as a special afternoon treat—a wonderful opportunity to relax, recharge, and simply be present together. ✨

This day would not have been possible without our amazing Board of Directors and incredible volunteers, who stepped in and ran the Center so our entire staff could participate. What an incredible example of the community that surrounds Sister José and believes in our mission. We are so grateful for each of you! 💕

We returned to the Center feeling connected, energized, and reminded of the strength of our team and the importance of the work we do together.

One team. One mission. One incredible community. 💗
