A beautiful Sunday morning during our Refuge Retreat ✨

This Sunday, our community gathered for a special class as part of our Refuge Retreat — a meaningful opportunity to deepen our connection with the Three Jewels and learn how to find real inner protection through Buddha’s teachings.

In a peaceful and blessed atmosphere, we reflected on how refuge is not just a belief, but a practical source of strength, guidance, and hope in daily life. Through meditation, teachings, and prayers, we can gradually develop the confidence and wisdom that protect our mind from suffering and lead us toward lasting peace.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for this special morning and weekend. It was wonderful to practice together as a community.

Everyone is welcome to join us for upcoming classes, retreats, and events at Kadampa Meditation Center Arizona.

Refuge Retreat
Find Protection from Suffering
Friday, Saturday & Sunday, June 19th - 21st
With Gen Kelsang Lingpur
https://www.meditationintucson.org/refuge-retreat
Taking refuge in Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha is the very foundation of the Buddhist path. By relying on Buddha as our perfect guide, Dharma as the supreme protection from suffering, and Sangha as our inspiring companions, we enter the gateway to liberation and enlightenment.
During this retreat, we gently set aside our usual busyness and create space to cultivate inner peace. Through teachings, prayers, and guided meditations with Gen Lingpur, we will deepen our experience of refuge and discover how to find lasting happiness within.
You are welcome to attend any or all of the sessions. This retreat is open to everyone—whether you are new to Buddhist practice or wish to strengthen your reliance on the Three Jewels.
Schedule:
Friday:
Introduction: 6:30 - 7:30pm
Saturday & Sunday:
Session 1: 8 - 9:15am
Session 2: 1 - 2:15pm
Session 3: 3 - 4:15pm
Cost: $20
Note: Per NKT instructions, we are no longer able to live-stream Preliminary Guide retreats.
