Hey Steps in the Light family! ✨ If you’ve ever stared down Step Four of Alcoholics Anonymous, you know taking that "searching and fearless moral inventory" can feel a whole lot like being swallowed alive by a giant fish. Honestly, it’s the ultimate Jonah moment! Just like Jonah tried to run from God and ended up trapped in the dark, messy belly of a whale, we often use our addictions to run from our own truths until we hit rock bottom. But the magic happens when we stop running, surrender, and finally look inward. Jonah 2:2 reminds us of that exact turning point: "In my distress I called to the Lord, and he answered me. From deep in the realm of the dead I called for help, and you listened to my cry." Step Four isn’t about beating yourself up in the dark; it’s about acknowledging where we are, turning on the flashlight, and preparing to be delivered from the wreckage.
