We're excited to share this behind-the-scenes look from our friends at Get a Clue AZ. In the video, Jeanette gives us a closer look at what it takes to plan Tucsonโ€™s favorite murder mystery.

As the proud beneficiary of this event, weโ€™re excited and a bit sad to see the final chapter of this mystery unfold. Every registration helps us continue our mission.

Donโ€™t miss your chance to join the grand finale. Watch the video for all the details and be sure to get your tickets before the case closes for good.

Every Story Needs a Hero (That Is You!) ๐Ÿ“–โœจ

Today is , so weโ€™d like to share a story about a special kind of magic happening right here in our community.

Picture a Tuesday afternoon at a Pima County library. In one room, toddlers are learning the rhythm of language during story time. Down the hall, teens are trying out coding in a STEM workshop, and local artists are leading hands-on art classes for everyone.

None of this would be possible without the Friends of Pima County Public Library.

The library provides the space, and we supply the funding that makes these programs possible. Just this April, your support is making everything from art classes to business workshops happen at every branch. We believe everyone in Tucson should have access to culture and education, no matter where they live.

When you donate books, shop at the Book Barn, or give funds, you help keep these community stories going.

Help us keep these stories alive. Donate to the Friends today at https://pimafriends.com/donate-now/

Not All Heroes Wear Capes (But Most Own an Impressive Cardigan Collection).

Happy National Librarians Day to the researchers, the tech wizards, the master organizers, and the people who can somehow find that "blue book with the dog on it" using only those five words.

Our Pima County librarians are the ultimate community MVPs. Whether they are helping someone navigate a first resume, hosting a wild toddler storytime, or guiding a reader to their next favorite obsession, they do it all with a smile (and maybe a quiet "shhh" when necessary).

At the Friends, weโ€™re the ultimate library groupies. We spend our days at the Book Barn raising funds to support their world-class programs because we know that a library is only as strong as the people running it.

Now it's your turn to spill! Was there a librarian in your life who nurtured your love of reading? Someone who helped you find the one book that changed everything? Or maybe just someone who didn't judge you for checking out twenty books at once? Tell us your stories in the comments! ๐Ÿ‘‡โค๏ธ

Found Poetry in the Warehouse Stacks ๐Ÿ“šโœ๏ธ

Who says you need a pen and paper to write a masterpiece? Our wonderful volunteer, Debbie, has been spending some time in the warehouse finds this week celebrating National Poetry Month in the most creative way possible.

By carefully stacking book spines, she has turned our everyday inventory into "Found Poetry." From whimsical stories to thoughtful reflections, these "spine poems" prove that there is beauty and inspiration hiding in every corner of the Book Barn.

At the Friends of Pima County Public Library, we love seeing the artistic side of our collection. Every book on our shelves has a story to tell, but sometimes they tell a brand new one when they are stacked just right!

Which of Debbieโ€™s poems is your favorite? Tell us in the comments, or better yet, drop a "spine poem" of your own using books from your shelf!

It is National Library Week! Did you know Friends of Pima County Public Library is an independent nonprofit that funds the programs you love?

While we share a name and a mission with our incredible library system, the Friends of Pima County Public Library operates as a separate 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. We exist for one reason: to ensure our libraries have the resources they need to serve every neighbor in Tucson.

When you shop at the Book Barn or join as a member, you aren't just getting a great deal on a bestseller. You are directly investing in the community.

Your support funds:

โœ… The Summer Reading Program for local students.

โœ… GED classes and adult literacy initiatives.

โœ… New technology and specialized programming at your favorite local branch.

This week, we celebrate the 27 branches that make Pima County a better place to live. Help us keep them strong by becoming a member or donating your gently used books today.
