Our hearts are so full after this incredible week.
On Monday, we stood together for Yom HaZikaron. We remembered, reflected, and simply were there for one another. We shared the stories of local heroes and loved ones lost too soon in Israel’s wars or to acts of terror.
It was an of remembrance, music, prayers, and a shared hope for a brighter, more peaceful future.
And then- that uniquely Israeli, almost impossible transition between grief and joy. On Sunday, we stepped into Yom HaAtzmaut.
There is a reason these two days are intertwined. We know that the joy of our independence is only possible because we remember the price. We know that the grief of loss finds its greatest purpose in the choosing of life.
Celebrating Israel this year felt so powerful. This year’s theme, Journey of a Nation, invited us to look back at our shared story - a story that, in many ways, is a real miracle.
Seeing 300 wonderful people gathered under the open desert sky, filled with music, connection, Israeli spirit, and pure Jewish pride... those are the moments we will forever be grateful for.
Thank you to every single person who showed up and made this week what it was.
To our incredible community partners, dedicated volunteers, and our WIC committee- thank you for the immense heart and energy you poured into this week.
And to our AMAZING JPSA and Tucson J staff- this simply wouldn't have happened without you. You are the engine behind the magic.
