Casa de los Niños is proud to participate in on June 23, a nationwide day of action that reminds us of the impact we can make when we come together in support of our community.

Our goal is to assemble 300 summer care bags for our unhoused neighbors. Each bag will include hygiene items, water, and essential supplies to help individuals stay cool, hydrated, and supported during the Arizona heat, along with a packed lunch.

At Casa de los Niños, we believe small acts of care can create meaningful change. Whether you volunteer, donate supplies, or help spread the word, your support helps strengthen our community and reminds others that they are seen, valued, and cared for.

May is Foster Care Month 💙

Casa de los Niños, had a wonderful time celebrating and thanking our incredible foster care families this month. A huge thank you to First Watch- Crossroads (4775 E Grant Rd) for providing a delicious breakfast for our families, and to Light Haus AZ for helping us capture such special moments during our Foster Care Appreciation Event.

Casa de los Niños offers both Traditional Foster Care and Developmental Home programs. Our foster homes provide safe, loving, and supportive environments for children in need of stability, compassion, and care. Through our Developmental Home program, we also support children and adults with developmental needs by connecting them with dedicated providers who offer guidance, structure, and a place to truly call home.

Our foster families and developmental home providers make a lasting impact every day by helping individuals heal, grow, and experience a true sense of belonging.

Join us in congratulating Bridget Werchan, our amazing Nurse Supervisor with the Nurse-Family Partnership Program at Casa de los Niños, for being recognized as one of the Tucson Nurses Week Foundation “Fabulous 50 Nurses”!

Bridget’s dedication to maternal-child health, family support, and community wellness shines through everything she does. With 15 years of nursing experience in public and community health, she has made a lasting impact by advocating for vulnerable families and providing essential resources, including safe sleep supplies, car seats, literacy materials, and developmentally appropriate toys for children and expecting mothers.

Her compassionate, family-centered approach and commitment to prevention, education, and equity in healthcare truly embody what it means to be an outstanding nurse and community leader.
