Ryan donated two coolers and water to our Safe Passage team to help keep our workers, students, and anyone in need hydrated during these hot Tucson days. 💧☀️

This is what community looks like, seeing a need and stepping up to meet it.

What would it look like if we showed up for Black fathers with the same intention, investment, and community support we know strengthens entire families?
What would it look like if Black men had spaces where they were not only seen as providers or protectors—but as fathers who also deserve connection, resources, encouragement, and support?
And what if we recognized that supporting Black fathers is also part of improving maternal and child health? When fathers are supported, connected, and equipped to be fully present, that support reaches mothers, babies, and the entire family.

Boys to Men Tucson is proud to join A Better Community and the State of Black Arizona for Honoring Fathers, Uplifting Futures: “How We Show Up.”
This gathering is about recognizing the important role Black fathers play in the health and well-being of their children, partners, families, and communities—and asking how we can better show up for them.

It’s hot out there, and Brother Marcus has a simple ask from his Safe Passage post.

We’re looking for donations of 2 coolers and bottled water to keep cold water available not only for our Safe Passage workers, but for the young people, parents, and community members we encounter along the way.

Sometimes connection starts with something as simple as, “Would you like a cold bottle of water?” That small gesture opens the door to conversation, trust, and community.

Every time our community experiences another act of violence, we ask what more can be done.

At Boys to Men Tucson, we believe the answer begins long before violence occurs.

Our work is part of Tucson's community-based public safety ecosystem, a simple, yet powerful approach to investing in young people through trusted relationships, consistent mentorship, and spaces where they know they belong.

Community safety isn't built by one program or one organization. It's built when we invest in people early, consistently, and together.

A mass shooting in downtown Tucson has raised concerns among community members about an increase in violent incidents involving teens and young adults.
