Easy to pull from kennel, Easy to return to kennel, Played with toys, Fetch toys, Somewhat Pulls on Leash, Sit, Grover- affectionate, playful guy; loved fetch and would drop the ball and allow me to pick up; loved jumping in and out of the pool with his ball; laid down and solicited belly rubs in the pool; some pull on return; went right into his kennel for an easy unleash

Solicited attentions, Playful, Easy to pull from kennel, Easy to return to kennel, Played with toys, Fetch toys, Takes treats nicely, Easy/Loose Leash, Somewhat Pulls on Leash, Calm, Ignored dogs when walking past kennels. In yard, immediately went potty, so appears potty trained. Then approached handler and received affection. Looked handler softly in eyes, a sign of friendship and trust. Chased stuffy toys, flung them around. Loved a gentle tug-of-war w handler; handler always allowed him to win. During tug, he would play growl. Dog was wagging tail, sometimes in a play bow position, and as soon as handler allowed dog to pull her a few feet in order to win, dog would again move closer to handler to play again and again, wagging tail entire time, over and over. Dog enjoyed reclining in kiddie pool, then rolling over for belly rubs in pool. Dog allowed handler to wipe face with wet cloth. Fun, funny, playful, affectionate; this dog is a JOY!

Dog was standing at kennel door, neutral, calm, second handler was able to coax dog outside, closed divider to separate from kennel mate, met dog at back half of kennel. Dog approached handler, remained calm and neutral, took treats, easy to leash and walk to yard, ignored kenneled dogs. Explored yard, nose to ground, tail low, ate hot dogs tossed nearby, dog eventually approached handler, took treats from hand, allowed petting all over, softened with wagging tail, moved in closer and leaned into handler soliciting more attention. Followed handler to gate, able to pick up leash, no issues walking back to kennel, easy return, allowed handler to remove leash by hand. *Potential adopters should be counseled on slow introductions and proper decompression time to allow dog to adjust to new home.

Dog approached front of kennel with kennel mate; low tail wags; easily able to separate from kennel mate; met dog on outer portion; stoic; offered treats; took treat gently; opened door; allowed for easy leashing; exited; light pull; stopped to sniff. In yard, dog explored for several moments; urinated; sniffing nose to ground; handler tried verbally coaxing; not interested; startled by surrounding noises; staff walked past with a dog; this dog readily approached yard fence; flagged tail; tense body; quickly went back to exploring. Dog approached handler; offered treat; grabby; tolerated light petting; stood near handler; demonstrated sit; tossed treats; dog went after treats; came back to handler; tried petting on head; shook head; pulled away; remained near handler for a moment; went back to exploring; staff walked past yard; verbally coaxing; dog followed along fence; lost interest; went back to exploring. Handler walked over to yard gate; dog followed; allowed handler to slowly pick leash up; walked back with light pull; stopped to sniff neighboring kennel; high tail wag; entered kennel; tossed treats on floor; allowed handler to remove leash while eating treats off floor.

Stoic, slow leashing, not soliciting attention, when scanning with the microchip canine turned and stared at handler, wide eyed, side eyeing when petting, turned head quickly again when petting back end, allowed all handling and vaccines with muzzle wrap restraint, walked to kennel, clip lead used to remove leash.
Medical Treatments
10/10/26 08:53 Noted on kennel walkthrough. Patient was recently cleared from CIRDC treatment at 21 day recheck. Patient is QAR. Patient has moderate mucoid nasal discharge, no ocular discharge, normal respiratory rate and effort, no coughing, no sneezing. Moderate continued CIRDC symptoms. Would like to extend medication course and recheck again at the 28d mark. Due to persistent respiratory disease, place on portal urgent medical. If no resolution or outlet by COB on 10/19/26, then dog may be at risk for humane euthanasia on 10/20/26. Dog may be humanely euthanized earlier if QOL declines. RX: - doxycycline 300mg PO q24h x 9d - enrofloxacin 170mg PO q24h x 9d - add wet food to diet
