Oro Valley Toastmasters – Meeting Highlights (May 18, 2026)

Wow — what a night!
We packed the room with 26 enthusiastic attendees, and the energy was electric from start to finish.

🎤 Speeches
Smita kicked off the program with her high‑energy speech, “Just Smile.” She reminded us how powerful a simple smile can be — and then proved it by getting the entire room standing, waving their arms, and grinning like we were posing for the world’s happiest group photo. Her playful delivery and joyful message set the tone for the evening.

Virginia followed with her heartfelt speech, “Friendships,” exploring how meaningful connections shape who we become. Her message was warm, reflective, and a beautiful reminder of why community matters.

🗣️ Table Topics
Our Table Topics Master, Nicholas, led a spirited impromptu speaking session with 10 brave participants stepping up to tackle thoughtful, challenging, and often hilarious prompts. The room was filled with laughter, insight, and those wonderful “I didn’t know I was going to say that!” moments that make Table Topics so magical.

📝 Evaluations
Robert and Daniel wrapped up the program with supportive, insightful evaluations for Smita and Virginia. Their feedback captured the heart of Toastmasters — encouragement, growth, and celebrating each speaker’s strengths.

🍪 Treats & Thanks
A huge thank‑you to Linda Mei and Linda Blain for spoiling us with chocolate chip cookies, oatmeal cookies, homemade banana bread, and zucchini bread. And of course — Jim’s lemons! This was the final batch of the season, so savor them… the next crop is officially on a year‑long countdown.

And to everyone who attended — your energy made the evening unforgettable.
