Oro Valley Toastmasters – Meeting Highlights (June 1, 2026)
For those who couldn’t make it, here’s your recap of an unforgettable night! ✨
We kicked off the first meeting of June with a bang 💥
Even with many members off on summer adventures, we still welcomed 22 enthusiastic attendees — 8 guests (new & returning) and 14 members. The room was buzzing!
🎤 Speeches
Linda B. opened the program with her motivating speech, “An Attitude of Gratitude.”
She reminded us that mentors leave gold nuggets at our feet — we just have to pick them up. A powerful nudge to ask ourselves: Do you have a mentor? If not, maybe it’s time to find one ✨
Melody followed with her fun, candid, and entertaining speech, “Do I Have What It Takes?”
She explored how writing down our thoughts on dating, relationships, and divorce can help us avoid repeating unhappy patterns. Insightful, relatable, and full of heart ❤️
🎯 Table Topics
Our Table Topics Master, Ernesto, led a lively session with 10 brave participants stepping up to tackle thoughtful, challenging, and often hilarious prompts.
The room was filled with laughter, surprises, and those classic Toastmasters moments of:
“I didn’t know I was going to say that!” 🤣✨
📝 Evaluations
Pi and Smita wrapped up the program with warm, supportive, and insightful evaluations for Linda B. and Melody.
Their feedback captured the true spirit of Toastmasters — growth, encouragement, and celebrating each speaker’s strengths 🌱💬
