There's no CARFAX for a car seat. Be extra careful browsing online groups giving away or trading free items. While a free car seat might seem like a great way to save money and recycle, it's impossible to know if it's been in a crash. Plus, the car seat could be expired or counterfeit. The only way to know for sure is by buying new!
