✨ Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Youth & Family Engagement Day! ✨
We are so grateful to all the youth, parents, families, and community members who spent the day learning, connecting, and building relationships together.
It was wonderful to share information about our youth programs, upcoming opportunities, and the many ways families can stay involved in activities that promote wellness, leadership, culture, and community connection. More importantly, it was a chance to celebrate the strength, resilience, and traditions that already exist within our Native families and communities.
Thank you to everyone who participated in the activities, shared conversations, and helped make this event so meaningful. We look forward to continuing to grow together and support the next generation of Native leaders. ❤️🖤💛

Thank you to everyone who joined us for today’s Men’s Day event! We shared good food, lots of laughter, and, most importantly, meaningful conversations. Together, we created a space to talk openly about mental health, reflect on what we’re grateful for, and build stronger connections with one another.

A special thank you to all of our resource table partners for being there and helping make this event possible. Your support and commitment to our community are truly appreciated.

As the days warm up, our bodies need a little extra care.
The Sonoran Desert asks more of our bodies than most people realize, and dehydration tends to show up earlier than you'd expect. Sometimes it looks like a headache, sometimes a short temper, sometimes that foggy feeling that makes everything a little harder than it should be.

Steady sips through the day work better than trying to catch up all at once. Keep a bottle within reach, drink some water with each meal, and add a slice of lemon or cucumber if plain water feels boring. Tucson summers are long, and small habits like this are what carry you through them.

Tucson summers ask a lot of us. Small habits make a big difference!

Naming what's good today can quietly shift how a day feels.

Gratitude has been talked about so much in wellness spaces that it can start to feel like a script, but the actual practice is quieter and more useful than the version that ends up on a coffee mug. Naming one or two things that were good about the day, even small ones, gives your brain something to land on that isn't whatever has gone wrong, and over time that starts to shift the texture of how a day feels in memory.

A warm meal, a breeze through an open window, the sound of a familiar voice on the phone. None of it cancels out what's hard, but it makes a little more room for what's also true, which is that good things are still here even on the heavier days.

What's one small thing that was good about today?

Saying no is hard for most of us because we were raised to think it was rude.

So we say yes to things we don't really want to do, and then we spend the week resenting the ask and feeling guilty about the resentment.

You can decline without explaining your whole week. The people who care about you would rather hear an honest no than sense a resentful yes underneath everything you do.

You can say no to plans you don't have energy for.
You can say no to conversations that drain you.
You can say no without a long explanation.

Protecting your time and energy isn't selfish! It's part of how you stay well enough to show up fully when it matters most.
