One of the best things about Tucson is our incredible literary scene and Antigone is big part of that. Another local legacy, Antigone Books has provided a warm, welcoming space for book lovers since 1973 and is a great spot to pick up a new poetry collection from your favorite writer, a classic you've been meaning to read, or a cute gift for your favorite bookworm. TPF 2026 attendees have the chance to enter into a raffle to win an Antigone gift card 📖!

Pima Community College has been incredible to work with as we prepare for our annual festival this weekend! PCC is a vital community resource that offers high-quality courses and certificates for learners of every age and interest, including writing classes like Literary Magazine Workshop, Introduction to Creative Writing, and Advanced Poetry. We are also excited to announce that on Saturday we will have a special guest: a PCC student will read her piece that touched the hearts of our board members. Thank you PCC for being such an important part of TPF 2026!

We are so excited for Cyrus Cassells' new book, Lorca to the Umpteenth Power, that drops on June 5 (Lorca's birthday!). Full of treasures, the hybrid work features art by current Texas Poet Laureate, Octavio Quintanilla, and the title poem won a Pushcart Prize last year. Make sure you snag a spot for his workshop, The Alphabet of the Sacred, next Saturday!

We are so grateful for the continued support of the University of Arizona Poetry Center! The Poetry Center is an anchor for the local writing community that brings in incredible poets from across the nation, offers workshops throughout the year, lovingly curates a library of 58,000 contemporary poetry books, maintains the incredible Voca audiovisual archive that has caught poetry magic since 1963, AND supports many smaller organizations like TPF. Don't miss the treasures from their current exhibit, Indigenous Poets from the Rare Book Room, on display until May 29th!

4th and 4th Foundation has intimate programming for writing and community building all year! A new TPF partner, 4th and 4th hosted a hybrid workshop for us in January and offers events each week, including recurring meetups for Romance Book Club, Writing for Seniors, Silent Writing, and Letter Writing. Their sweet patio is not only the perfect place to do a little writing and people watching, but it will also be a great spot to vibe out for Porch Fest on April 18th from 6-10PM!
