Hello All,

Just a reminder we will be meeting tomorrow at 6pm in RM. 132 in McClelland Hall (Eller).

ALPFA, one of our affiliated clubs on campus, is hosting an event tomorrow with JP Morgan Chase from 5-6pm (get out in time for our meeting) in RM. 204 in McClelland Hall. JP Morgan Chase will be discussing internship opportunities with their Operations Division in Phoenix. If interested please attend in business casual and preregister for the event (http://tinyurl.com/jfkgnkk).

Also please remember to bring your dues if you plan to be a member of the club and have not done so already. Dues are 30$ for the semester. We accept checks payable to 'Stocks and Securities Investments Club'.

I just have to say that #1 it is so great seeing such an amazing turn out at tonight's meeting and #2 I am so unbelievably proud of the leadership I saw running the Investments Club tonight. So many internships/jobs - so much knowledge and networking potential! These are honest hard working faces that are helping make the Arizona stamp on Wall Street and the financial world. Tonight we will have some great content for the club. Martin Quintanar (our EVP) and Marie Archibald (our President) will be leading a discussion on bonds and fixed income.

Speaking intelligently about fixed income is just as important as knowing the equity markets. This knowledge could help you get a job one day and hopefully make you a lot of money!

Hello Investments Club Members,

There has been a change to the time of the Goldman Sachs - Salt Lake Investment Banking event on Wednesday. Because of a time conflict that our speaker has, we will now be holding the event Wednesday morning at 9:00 AM in room 208 at Eller. We apologize for the inconvenience and realize that many of you will not be able to attend because of your classes. We encourage those of you who can attend to do so and to bring your resumes. There will be an additional info session on Tuesday at 5:00 PM in Berger Auditorium which you are all invited to attend.

I hope to see many of you at both the Tuesday evening info session and the Wednesday morning event. There will be no club meeting Wednesday evening because of the event, but meetings will continue as scheduled the following week.

Hello current and future Investments Club members,

We hope that you had a wonderful summer and that your semester is off to a good start. The first meeting of the year will be held Wednesday, September 2nd at 6:00pm in McClelland Hall room 131. Dues are $30 for the semester or $50 for the year, and we will be collecting them during the first few meetings of the semester.

We are excited about this coming year and have many things planned, including guest speakers and the 5th Annual New York City Trip. Our first guest speaker of the year will be coming from Goldman Sachs in Salt Lake City on September 16th to talk with you about careers in their office's new Investment Banking Division. We will share more details on Wednesday and look forward to seeing you then!
