SPECIAL KIDS EVENT! Join children’s author Gary D. Robson for a wild morning of stories, laughs and desert discoveries at the Sabino Canyon Visitor Center.

Hey parents! Looking for a way to get your kids outside during the school year? Want to help improve your child’s reading and math skills? Participate in a Junior Ranger program at a national park near you!

The Junior Ranger program, which is open to park visitors of all ages, connects people to the places, stories, history, and heritage of the national parks. Participate in fun activities and earn a Junior Ranger badge. Many parks offer these special programs, which are unique to each park—and often they are completely free!

Check out these fast facts and start planning your trip to Timpanogos Cave National Monument!

🗺️ Where is it? Timpanogos Cave is located in Utah’s American Fork Canyon, just 35 miles outside of Salt Lake City.

🤔Why go? This national park protects a fascinating cave system hidden in Utah’s Wasatch Mountains. The caverns are known for their colorful and delicate formations.

🥾What can you do? Due to the park’s location, it is best to visit this natural wonder in the summer months. Hike the strenuous trail up to the cave. Enjoy a park ranger cave tour highlighting the natural history of this beautiful place. Learn about bats and other wildlife. Camp and hike in the nearby mountains.

Robson for a wild morning of stories, laughs and desert discoveries, from 10 to 12, Saturday, August 29 at Sabino Canyon Recreation Area, and Sunday, August 30, at Saguaro National Park’s Red Hills Visitor Center. (That’s right! Same event—two locations!)
