At Child-Parent Centers, our team of 600+ Head Start professionals help children and families prepare for lifelong learning and success.

Our 2026-2027 Policy Council convened for the first time last week and parents elected officers for the 2026-2027 program year. Congratulations to Chairperson Blanca Maynez, Vice-Chairs Samantha Armstrong, Gabby Berryhill, Oscar Rodriguez, and Audrey Talbert, and Secretary/Treasurer Morgan Vannest! We’re excited to watch you grow as leaders and advocates this year!

Our Head Start Story
October is Head Start Awareness Month, a time to recognize what Head Start means right here in southeastern Arizona.

At Child-Parent Centers, we serve 2,500 children and families each year, helping children build a strong foundation for school and life while partnering with parents and caregivers every step of the way.

For 60 years, Head Start has been part of this community, and we’re proud to continue that legacy.

Tucson Children's Project — in collaboration with Child Parent Centers - Head Start, the University of Arizona College of Education, and United Way of Tucson and Southern Arizona — invites the Early Childhood Community to a FREE special event with award-winning Tucson author, Roni Capin Rivera-Ashford!

Roni will share stories and insights from her beloved bilingual children’s books, celebrating the role of memory, traditions, and imagination in children’s and families’ storytelling. There will also be time to connect, network, and create opportunities to support children and families. 💛
