At our last event on Saturday the 13th, Unhoused Neighbors served 128 people, and Tucson Street Medics helped at least 6 people with wound care. Unfortunately, as time wears on, we'll likely see more and more people in need of help.

We saw so many new faces at our last event, including several families. As SNAP and other benefits get cut, as parks are closed down, as the city seeks to criminalize drug use to profit off of it rather than help the people who need us the most, more and more people will end up houseless. And as NIMBYs spread lies about STAR, the city will only be more vindicated in refusing help to the unhoused.

So how can you help? If you're here in town, come to our next event this Saturday. Help us provide aid to those who need it. Send us the extra items you have in your closet or pantry, or buy us new ones. If you aren't in Tucson, contact us to find out how you can send us f*nds!

The world needs more community care, and it saves lives every day. Our next distribution event is September 27th, and there are a ton of ways you can join us in providing mutual aid to some of the most marginalized communities in town.
You don't have to have a house to be a part of a community, and the unhoused are part of our communities all across the city..

As always, we are looking for people who want to come out to our events and help out on the ground, but we also need to keep replenishing our supplies. If you aren't in town and want to help, reach out to find out how you can contribute directly, too!

We're seeing an increase in both the unhoused, in families experience food insecurity, of people lacking access to enough resources to survive, and those in transition, but we aren't going to let that discourage us from helping people get the most basic of human rights. Despite the attempt to require permits for mutual aid, the lies of STAR camp, the new patrols dehumanizing people, despite the closing of first Santa Rita and now Armory Park, we will continue our outreach.
