The best moments in the kitchen happen when kids get the chance to try. 🧑‍🍳✨

A new recipe.
A new ingredient.
A new skill.

Every meal kit gives kids an opportunity to learn, experiment, and build confidence while creating something they can share with their families.

We love seeing the creativity and excitement that happens when kids step into the kitchen.

Great things happen when communities come together. 🤝🌱

The Tucson Family Food Project is grateful to partner with the Zuckerman Family Center for Prevention & Health Promotion at the John Valenzuela Youth Center to help bring cooking education, fresh ingredients, and hands-on learning opportunities to Tucson kids.

This partnership allows us to continue creating spaces where kids can explore food, build confidence, and develop skills they can carry with them beyond the kitchen.

We’re thankful for organizations that share our belief that every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive.

It starts with ingredients.

Then something amazing happens. ✨

A recipe becomes a lesson.
A kitchen becomes a classroom.
And a child gets to experience the pride of saying, “I made this.”

The Tucson Family Food Project combines meal kits with hands-on cooking education to help kids build confidence, independence, and skills they can carry with them.

Food brings people together, and we’re grateful to be part of that journey.

This summer, we’ve been busy! ☀️🥕

Through partnerships with local summer programs, we’ve been able to bring meal kits, fresh ingredients, and cooking education directly to kids in our community.

It’s been amazing to see these partnerships create more opportunities for kids to learn, connect, and build confidence around food. We’re grateful to the organizations helping us make it happen! 🙌

Before a meal kit reaches a family’s kitchen, a whole community helps make it happen. 🙌

Volunteers sort ingredients, prepare supplies, organize boxes, and make sure every kit is ready to go.

Every packed box represents teamwork, care, and a belief that kids deserve access to fresh ingredients and opportunities to learn.

We’re so grateful for the volunteers who help bring TTFFP’s mission to life.

Happy back-to-school season to Tucson’s students, teachers, school staff, and families! 🍎✏️

A new school year brings new lessons, new friendships, new challenges, and new opportunities to discover what you can do.

To every child heading back to class: keep asking questions, keep trying new things, and never be afraid to make a mistake. That is how learning happens, in the classroom and in the kitchen.

Share this with a Tucson student or educator today. The first week of school is too important to celebrate alone. 🧡

Why not simply hand a child a prepared meal?
Because tomorrow matters too.

A meal can help someone today. A cooking skill can help them for years. That is why every TTFFP kit includes raw ingredients, a recipe, and instructions young chefs can follow as they learn.
Steven explains why teaching kids to cook is one of the most important parts of our work.

Watch, share, and follow today. Tucson’s kids are learning skills for their futures right now, and this story deserves a bigger audience.

Three vegetables. Endless possibilities. 🥦🥕✨

Every ingredient tells a story: where it comes from, how it can be prepared, and what new skills kids can learn along the way.

At The Tucson Family Food Project, we believe cooking is more than following a recipe. It’s about building confidence, encouraging curiosity, and creating moments families can share together.

Every big mission starts with one moment that makes it impossible to look away.

In this video, Steven shares how The Tucson Family Food Project began, and why he knew Tucson’s kids needed more than a meal. They needed the ingredients, tools, and confidence to learn how to cook for themselves and their families.

What started as an idea has grown into a community effort built around food, dignity, education, and possibility.

Watch Steven tell the story, then follow along as we continue building the next chapter for Tucson’s young chefs. 🧡
