Yesterday, we dropped off gift bags Tucson Medical Center for Children and today, Mother’s Day, TMC’s incredible staff made sure they got into the hands of the mamas who needed them most. The moms sitting beside their babies in the NICU. The moms holding strong for their children in the PICU.
Because those moms deserve to be celebrated too.
Every single bag was packed with love, mom essentials, snacks, and a gift card because no mom should feel forgotten just because she’s in a hospital hallway instead of at brunch.

None of this would have been possible without three incredible Tucson businesses who donated gift cards to make these bags extra special:

And the heart behind the delivery? Our girls. They carried those boxes through the doors themselves because they know what it’s like to be the sibling at home waiting, the patient in the bed, and both at the same time. They wanted these moms to know someone was thinking of them. 🩷

Two Sundays ago, your community showed up and showed out. People stopped, sat down, and wrote cards…real, handwritten cards. For parents who have babies in the NICU and for families with children fighting in the PICU, and for the little siblings at home who are trying to make sense of it all.
Those cards are going into care packages headed to Arizona NICUs and PICUs, wrapped around families who are living in hospital hallways, running on empty, and wondering if anyone sees them.
We are RARE LOVE a nonprofit born out of our own rare journey. We exist to wrap arms around the siblings often left behind, the caregivers running on empty, and the parents who need to know they are not alone.
This is what community looks like. We are just getting started. 🤍
