Catholic Community Services will be closed on Friday, August 14 in observance of the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

About this Holy Day: This feast celebrates Catholic doctrine that the Virgin Mary was taken body and soul into heavenly glory at the end of her earthly life. It is a joyful celebration of hope, reminding us of the promise of eternal life.

We will resume regular operating hours on Monday, August 17. Wishing you and your family a peaceful and blessed feast day! 🙏✨

Our hearts are full after our Open House on July 31st! Roughly 80 community members and partners joined us to learn about our LITC, VITA, MRS, and Immigration Legal Services programs.

We are so grateful to Frank Bustos and Jin Li (IRS) for sharing their expertise, and Vantage West Credit Union for the fun raffle prizes. Seeing families leave with smiles and backpacks full of school supplies made it all worth it. Thank you for partnering with us to make a difference!

🐾 Introducing Elijah’s Adventures! 🐾

Meet Elijah, our "resident dog" in training and a beautiful new addition to the St. Luke's in the Desert family.

Elijah’s journey with us started through a special bond. His dad was a beloved resident here who recently passed away. In the true spirit of the St. Luke's community, our family adopted Elijah to ensure he always has a home filled with love.

Now, he is stepping into an exciting new role, and we invite you to follow along on his upcoming training, staff hangs, resident visits, and neighborhood outings!

Adventure #1: Spa Day & Sweet Treats

Today, Elijah had a major day out on the town!
First, he visited Infinite Pawsibilities for a fresh grooming session.
Next, he stopped by Bark ’N Berry for some well-deserved, post-grooming treats.

A huge thank you to Celena Santa Cruz, the wonderful owner of Bark ’N Berry, for spoiling our boy and welcoming him with open arms!

Elijah’s story is a beautiful reminder of the compassion, deep community, and extended sense of family that defines St. Luke’s. We can't wait to share more local businesses and community partners who join Elijah on his journey.
