Good afternoon comrades, Auxiliary members, Riders, family, and friends.
I want to take a few moments today to thank each of you for your continued support and for the trust you have placed in me as Commander of VFW Post 10015.
As many of you know, this year marks a historic milestone for our Post as I become the first woman elected to serve as Commander. I am honored by that distinction, but even more honored by the confidence you have shown in my ability to lead and serve this organization.
The Veterans of Foreign Wars has never been about one individual. It has always been about veterans helping veterans, serving our communities, and ensuring that the sacrifices of those who served are never forgotten.
As we move forward, my focus is simple: growth, service, and involvement.
I want our Post to continue being a place where veterans feel welcomed, valued, and connected. I want us to be visible in our community, active in supporting veteran causes, and engaged in programs that make a difference.
This year, you will see us continuing to support programs that have a meaningful impact on veterans, their families, and our community. From our youth scholarship programs and educational outreach to veteran assistance efforts, community partnerships, and Riders activities, we will continue finding ways to serve beyond the walls of this Post. Every one of these efforts strengthens our organization and reminds our community that the VFW remains a vital force for good.
We have a lot of exciting opportunities ahead of us. Through our Post, our Auxiliary, our Riders, and our volunteers, we can continue building strong relationships throughout Tucson while supporting veterans and their families.
I encourage each member to become involved in whatever way they can. Whether it is volunteering at an event, participating in a fundraiser, attending meetings, mentoring a younger veteran, or simply bringing a fellow veteran through our doors, every contribution matters.
To our longtime members, thank you for the foundation you have built. To our newer members, thank you for bringing fresh ideas and energy. Together, we can continue strengthening Post 10015 and ensuring it remains a place of camaraderie, service, and purpose.
I promise to lead with integrity, transparency, and respect. I will listen to your ideas, work hard on behalf of this Post, and always keep the best interests of our members and our mission at heart.
I believe our best days are ahead of us. Not because of any one person, but because of what we can accomplish when we work together as a team united by service and a commitment to our fellow veterans.
Thank you for your service, thank you for your support, and thank you for all that you do for this Post.
Together, we will continue moving forward, strengthening our membership, expanding our impact, and ensuring that no veteran is ever forgotten.
May God bless our veterans, our active-duty service members, and the United States of America.
