This cutie, Nyla, has a pawrent that’s sadly dealing with some mental health issues and had to leave her for treatment. We don’t mind helping especially when we get to see such a sweet girl.

Nyla is the queen of her castle and doesn’t like to share space with other animals. She does absolutely make up for her short comings by giving the best hugs, kisses, and HUGEST smile I’ve ever seen.

We love love visiting Nyla and would love to continue providing free services, however I need my followers help for financial relief to make that happen.

This cutie, Lylla, was in need of a safe and secure place to go on an emergency basis. She was deemed “aggressive” due to her pulling at the temp housing place. We immediately jumped into action to see if we could help the pawrents.

Lylla is NOT aggressive at all with big dogs, cats, or even small dogs. Lylla melded into the house like she had lived their her whole life making new friends along the way. Lylla is great friends with Zeus (another veterans dogs) always wrestling with him during our play times. We recently got a TikTok sample that Lylla became obsessed with as you can see in the below video.

Minnie and Bentley were in need of some midday drop in care while their pawrents were out of town.

Bentley was a quirky boy as always and we had the pleasure of taking him to his dental appointment for his momma. He did so good on the drive over along with being a good boy at the vet.

Minnie was naughty as always and didn’t even last 30 seconds before she latched onto me with her raptor claws. Apparently Minnie has elected to hump me along with her grandpaw.

We love getting to see the furbabies and spending quality time with them

🐾Pets of Vets/Regular Client*

These pooches were all very short stays with us.

Wrigley (white and polkadot) was a very anxious boy during his short time with us and I think it’s cause he was very worried about his veteran pawrent. He did fine with the pack only wanting his space to be respected. He did prefer being kenneled most of the time which seemed to help him he calmer. His pawrent was able to get the help they needed knowing their Wrigley was safe.

Sir Pimpington (brown chihuahua) was a very sweet and good boy during his time with us providing us lots of cuddles. We didn’t get to learn much about him as his pawrent was only in the VA for a few days due to a medical complication. We loved our time with him and know his pawrent was relieved to know he was being cared for.

Astro (doodle) was in need of a short stint as his pawrents schedule left a tiny gap I happily filled for them. Astro is always in love with being here as he plays as much as he can with almost everyone. He is an only dog at home meaning he builds his energy up for when it’s time to do some WWE in our backyard.

These cuties; Scooby-Do, Chewy, and Merlin were all in need of someone to check in on them (originally) while their pawrent was admitted for a fractured hip after a fall. They weren’t too happy with me invading their space requiring a bit of a tag going on.

We partnered with a fellow colleague to get all 3 dogs microchipped, vaccinated (DHPP), and their nails done (overgrown in their pads). While Chewy was fixed Merlin and Scooby-Do needed their bells removed for the future. We reached out to Dr. Kelly's Surgical Unit - Tucson whom gladly scheduled them both quickly and did an amazing job with them.

Chewy stayed with us at first just for the night after a long day of us driving around, however after talking to her pawrent we decided she should stay here. Chewy is very loving towards us wanting to give kisses and be snugged up. She does great with the other dogs in the house only causing trouble when she needs to potty (p*ed on my clothes).

Merlin is the father of Scooby-Do whom seems like his bonded buddy from how much they stare at each other. Merlin doesn’t quite get he can’t p*e inside after catching him p*eing on my blanket 3 times (I’m dumb I know) resulting in a lot more kennel time. Merlin has come out of his shell a bit providing kisses and some snuggles.

Scooby-Do was the most scared out of the 3 and I think it’s cause he’s the youngest (child of Merlin and Chewy) also wasn’t socialized a lot in his younger years. Scooby-Do isn’t as attached to Merlin, however he does look for his presence in the room. He doesn’t provide kisses like his parents, however those little guy snuggles are just the best.

🐾Pets of Vets🐾

These cuties; Precious, Puma, and Molly were in need of a safe place to stay while their pawrents were unable to house them. The pawrents were evicted and got right to work finding new housing with the help of the VA social workers.

Molly and Puma were NOT fixed resulting in some potential issues that we got right to work fixing. We scheduled them both for spay/neuter at Dr. Kelly's Surgical Unit - Tucson along with 2 rabies shots. We learned that Puma was naughty and got Molly pregnant, however the pregnancy was still very recent allowing for an abortion to take place.

Precious was a lucky girl as she was originally from the county shelter and came spayed/microchipped already. She just needed rabies/DHPP to get her in tip top shape.

After a short stint with us all 3 lovers were reunited with their pawrents at their new home with lots of meows and making biscuits.

🐾Pets of a Non Vet🐾

Our program is designed to help veterans, however when you see a post saying they need placement for their 2 senior dogs as the owner became homeless you don’t turn a blind eye.

Bullet (big boy) is a 12 year old pit bull that could lose a pound or 20. We have him in a strict diet, however he does get himself some snacks if not monitored closely. Bullets favorite activities are sleeping, barking, cuddling, and snoring.

Buddy (lil guy) is a simple 16 year old that asks for a nice bed to sleep on, plenty of food, and a place to p*e when he needs too. Sometimes he will bark when his needs aren’t met, but usually we forget he is there cause he sleeps 23 hrs a day.

We are glad we could make space for Bullet and Buddy to give their pawrent some breathing room.

Nala came back for another stay when her veteran pawrent relapsed. Nala was confused what was happening, however settled back in without an issue after a couple days.

We discovered that Nala was not in fact fix like we thought, so we got her in for a spay appointment quickly. She was a good girl during her resting time even giving us lots of cuddles.

Nala would have been at the shelter if it wasn’t for our pets of vets program. We don’t charge veterans when we care for their pets and cover their boarding/food. Your support helps us help them.

We are BACCKKKKKK with Skye and Cassie as their pawrent went on a much deserved vacation!!!!!!

Cassie is always wanting all the attention along with getting 2 meals (steals Skyes). She got lots of belly rubs and made sure she had a chance to catch the soccer ball during our outside time.

Skye is doing much better with being scared of us as long as we take things slow and are patient with his quirkiness. He loves to play fetch and will demand we use his ball not the one we try to use.
