🍴 Big News from the GAP Kitchen! 🍴

From the beginning, the plan has always been growth — and now it’s happening! The GAP Kitchen is expanding to include a dedicated classroom space for our Career Plus Culinary students. 🙌

Instead of juggling lessons through the sounds of dishwashing, cooking and volunteer bustle, students will soon have their own space with up to a dozen fully equipped workstations (similar to the last picture) — everything they need for success right at arm’s length. ✨

This expansion means more opportunity, more training, and more lives impacted through the power of food and hope. 💛

We can’t wait to open the doors — completion is set for the end of September!

Take a look at the progress as of this week for the GAP Kitchen. We still hope to have it completed in time for the 25th Anniversary on November 14th. GAP Founder and President, Greg Ayers, received a call recently from the In-N-Out Burger Foundation that left him speechless. The foundation told him they wanted to help us "finish the GAP Kitchen" with a gift of $127,000! We are amazed, thankful, excited, and can only say, God is good!!! And thank you so much INOBF!!!
We are still taking $200 square foot sponsorship donations through the end of this month. As with any construction project, there have been a few unexpected additional expenses, so every dollar helps! Everyone who has sponsored the GAP Kitchen will be recognized on signage and will be invited to a special Grand Opening and ribbon cutting in December. We are excited to announce that we have a special guest joining us at our 25th Anniversary Celebration! Karen Abercrombie, "Miss Clara" from the movies War Room and The Forge, will be joining us to help us celebrate this significant occasion. Karen Abercrombie’s faith and personality shines through her work, her passion for Jesus Christ and encouraging others to grow in a relationship with God as evident off screen as they are when she’s playing the aged Miss Clara. The actress experienced her big break in the Kendrick Brothers’ War Room in 2015. Since then, she’s worked on two dozen projects, including her own project, Discarded Things, which she wrote, directed, and starred in. Each step has been intentional and personal for her, as she deepens in her understanding of the movement of God in her life. Karen recently returned as Miss Clara in The Forge.
Rod Robison, a Christian Illusionist, will also entertain us throughout the night. Rod lives in Tucson, is an adoptive father, and retired from Family Life Radio's Corporate Headquarters. He performs regularly for churches, corporate groups and at Canyon Ranch. Rod will entertain and amaze you with illusions from his bestselling book, "The Magic of Cultivating Positive Emotions."
You'll hear from Miracle Center Executive Director Matthew McPheron, Former Executive Director Jennifer McPheron, and GAP Founders Greg and Pam Ayers. We'll also have an exclusive screening of a video which was created for us by In-N-Out Foundation to honor GAP as their featured nonprofit for 2024.

We are in awe of what God has accomplished over the last 25 years and want to celebrate with the community that has helped us to do all of these things! It's finally happening!!! We are breaking ground for the new GAP Kitchen this week!

Join us this Friday, August 9th, at an Open House from 7:30-9:30 am at the location of the new Kitchen, 1994 W. Weymouth St. Write a prayer or dedication over the new building and enjoy refreshments prepared by the GAP Kitchen culinary team.
