One on One Mentoring

A private, non-profit mentorship program that matches caring adult role models with youth in need of extra support.

One on One Mentoring has been matching caring adults with youth who are at-risk for delinquency, school-drop out and the like since 1995. We are a community-based organization working to be a positive influence to kids facing tough life challenges through one-to-one relationships. Mentors are matched with youth for a minimum of one year, spending three hours or more per week together. Mentors and

mentees develop a relationship with each other by spending time doing the things together that they enjoy most.

Thank you all so much for your support over the years for One on One Mentoring! We are so thankful for all those who have mentored, donated and supported this incredible non profit. We love the matches in this program and so a decision was made by the board of directors to consolidate this program into our other youth mentoring program, Mentoring Tucson’s Kids. Please join us in continuing to support our youth and mentors by following us on our Mentoring Tucson’s Kids page.

For all those who were unable to make the January 29th current and former mentor/mentee celebration....good news! We rescheduled it for Saturday February 12th same time and place 🥳🎉

We are inviting all current Mentoring Tucson's Kids mentors/mentees and all former Mentoring Tucson's Kids AND One on One Mentoring mentors and mentees to join us on Saturday February 12th from 10a-12p for a fun luncheon celebration as our guests to celebrate your mentoring relationships! We know how important these have been in your lives and our lives so come dressed in your western attire ready to celebrate 🥳🎉

Our celebration will be held at a private ranch house in a renovated barn and there's goats, chickens, a bunny and large tortoise you can visit after the luncheon too 😃

We would also love to hear about how your mentoring relationship changed your lives so please send a 2-3 minute video clip telling us about your mentoring story, or email us your written story. Submissions can be sent to Mary McGuire at [email protected]. Everyone who enters a submission will be entered into a raffle drawing for a $50 visa gift card 🙂.

RSVP for the luncheon by February 7th
Video/written mentor or mentee testimonies need to be submitted by February 7th as well.

*All attendees arriving at the start of the event will be entered into a gift card raffle drawing 🙂

We had an incredible “Save Our Kids” breakfast fundraiser last Friday 🤩🎉 Thank you to all who were able to come out and join us! 🥳 We shared future directions, heard two highlighted incredible mentor/mentee testimonies and received an awesome word of encouragement and exhortation about the importance of mentoring for future generations. A huge thanks goes to GAP Ministries for hosting us and the delicious breakfast made and served by their catering team, as well all of our board, table sponsors and volunteers who made this event possible 🎉 We are so incredibly thankful to all who donated at the event and joined us as monthly financial partners, as well as those who signed up to be mentors and get more involved as volunteers. We love each of you and couldn’t do this life changing mentoring program without you!!! ❤️🙏🏼 God bless each of you and your families and we look forward to seeing you soon!

A huge thanks goes to Aaron with Aaron Affordabe Auto for doing an intro to auto mechanics lesson for our youth today for our monthly mentor event! 😃🎉 He did an incredible job teaching about car safety, changing tires and oil changes 🎉We all learned so much and we’re looking forward to our next lesson! 🥳🎉

A special thanks also goes to Peter Piper Pizza for the delicious pizza, soda and games following our awesome auto lesson! 🤩
