From the archives: 1959 publicity photos of the first bus in Tucson to be equipped with A/C! Tucson Rapid Transit #217, a GM Old Look model, was retrofitted with the new invention in 1959. Now we can't imagine public transit in this city without it!

#217 was saved by one of our volunteers when it was retired from service. It is now in our collection, awaiting restoration.

This is the "hubodometer" on our recently-painted Flxible OPT #5060. In its lifetime, this bus covered over 1 MILLION miles on Tucson roads!
