If anyone truly deserves a congratulations...it's the U.S.P.S. workers, who we've watched tirelessly work double and triple shifts...unpaid overtime...in insane weather conditions...during a pandemic, with their one boss at the highest level, doing everything possible to make their jobs harder than ever...STILL persevere and make sure OUR mail (and historic number of mail-in ballots) made it to the polls on time.

About the artists / Week 1
Matt Beard

b. Los Angeles, CA 1972
In his ā€œA Bee Seesā€ series, Polygeneric Photographer and Storyteller Matt Beard, pulls his viewers into the rich and colorful (as well as dark and mysterious) worlds he discovers hidden in ordinary plants and flowers which he finds by random chance. Inspired by the story of an alternate reality within a dying rose in the Dark Tower series by Stephen King, Matt Beard ā€œpicks up his camera, and takes a walk to see what he can findā€. The results of the artist’s efforts bring us a ā€˜bee’s-eye’ view, focused on appreciating these beautiful and mesmerizing microcosms of alternate landscapes. Mr. Beard’s work reminds us to consider our own existence in perspective to the greater (and smaller) universe we exist in.

About the artists / Week 1
Phil Vance

b. Sonora, CA 1978
An artist obsessed with process, pattern and rhythm.
The common thread running through Phil Vance’s work is ā€œtediumā€ - an ever increasing level of complexity that aims to break systems, exposing the symbiotic nature of order and chaos.
His current series of portraits ā€œIn Their Own Wordsā€ looks past the surface of his subjects, and into the depth of who we are as a people, and how we perceive ourselves and others. Using acrylic paints, the artist’s technique of layering and optical mixing brings to life unique portraits of the subjects, using only quotes from their own words.
Mr. Vance’s work asks the question: ā€œDo we remember a person more for how they appear, or for the things they say?ā€

About the artists / Week 1
Shawn Waco

b. Culver City, CA 1971
Visionary artist Shawn Waco has been pushing the limits of different mediums and techniques for over 25 years. He has recently created a new and unique artistic process combining photography, viscosity etching, laser cutting, painting, and 3-dimensional layering; bringing a tangible and tactile life to his dreamlike works. Feeling that a photograph does not always capture the mood, Mr. Waco felt a need to develop a new art method to reassemble and recreate the magic of the places he visited. With his unique style of overlapping colors, layers, and textures, Shawn Waco takes his audience on a visually emotional journey across Europe, South America, Asia, and the United States. From dense, smoggy and overpopulated cities to old crumbling beautiful towns and cities like Porto and Naples, the artist captures the current state of mankind’s evolution in the world today.

ABOUT THE PROJECT

We are selling limited edition packs of (12) postcards & (12) First Class Stamps.

The Postcards feature the work of amazing upcoming artists, in order to raise money to help the USPS continue to deliver mail (in a timely manner) through the November 2020 Election and beyond.
100% of profits from the net sales of these postcards will be used to purchase more postage and services from the USPS, as it is the only way they are currently able to make money.
By doing this, we are also helping to support various local print shops, as well as the Artists who will receive a small commission and recognition on the artwork they provide.
Everyone benefits.
The United States Postal Service is under siege, has become politicized, and needs our help.
We all rely upon the USPS.
We need to acknowledge the frightening reality of trying to rely on a system that is underfunded, understaffed and under attack, before it’s too late.
We can all agree that the biggest threat to a free and fair democracy, is to have our votes suppressed in one way or another. We can not allow that to happen.
No mater who you vote for, your constitutionally legal vote should be guaranteed to count, by all means necessary...especially during a pandemic such as this.
The USPS is currently restricted by law, from receiving public or private donations. They receive NO direct taxpayer money.
However...
We CAN buy their products and services.
We CAN get our votes out.
We CAN make a difference.
Help .
Help support the United States Postal Service, small businesses, and artists. Help make your vote COUNT.
