PARKING UPDATE: SPACES ARE LIMITED DUE TO HEAVY ROAD WORK!
On Monday, the city announced the opening of the new 6th Street Underpass. Now that the centerpiece of the Downtown Links improvement project is nearly finished, crews have moved on to repaving our street, N 9th Ave.
Parking on the east side of 9th Ave is prohibited only on weekdays, 5a-2p. You may park there at any other time! Parallel parking on the west side is available anytime.
You may park in the dirt lot directly west of the Steinfeld Warehouse, across Perry Ave when parking on 9th Ave is unavailable. You may also park in the back yard if there's room and you have access. If possible, you may want to carpool or use alternative modes of transportation to get here.
Free parking in Dunbar Spring, the neighborhood directly north of our building, on the north side of the railroad tracks. With the pedestrian walkway over the train tracks almost finished, it's never been faster to park there and get to Xerocraft. If you're bringing items with you, you may want to stop at Xerocraft first to unload, then go park in Dunbar and walk back.
You can also park east of our building in the Franklin Street Parking Lot at 50 W. Franklin Street but a pass or a $3 fee is required, depending on the time. Changes have been made to the chain link fence surrounding the area to make it possible to park in the Franklin lot and walk directly to our building.
If possible, you may want to carpool or use alternative modes of transportation to get here. To learn more about getting to Xerocraft on SunTran, go to https://xerocraft.org/pages/parking-update -tran-bus-shuttle-and-streetcar-routes.
Also note that the westbound lane of N Church Ave between W 6th St and N Perry Ave is closed as well.
