Recovery is not something anyone should have to navigate alone.

Our adolescent processing groups create a safe space for young people to share, connect, and work through the challenges of eating disorder recovery. Through meaningful conversations, creative activities, and shared experiences, they learn that they are never alone in what they're facing.

At the same time, our parent support groups provide encouragement, education, and guidance for the people walking beside them. We know that supporting a child through recovery can feel overwhelming, which is why we create opportunities for parents to learn, ask questions, and hear from guest speakers and professionals.

Healing happens in community. It happens when adolescents feel seen and when parents feel supported.

And every week, we're reminded that hope grows stronger when we grow together. 💜

Join us TOMORROW, June 14th for our next processing group from 12pm-2pm. Email [email protected] for more information.

This photo was taken when Bella came home after receiving treatment for her eating disorder. It was a day filled with so much joy, relief, and gratitude. Having her home meant everything.

But as the excitement settled, another reality became impossible to ignore: there wasn't much ongoing support available here in Tucson for adolescents and families navigating eating disorder recovery.

Recovery doesn't end when treatment ends. In many ways, that's when the real work begins.

That gap in care became the inspiration behind Una Bella Vita Tucson. We wanted to create the kind of support we wish had existed, a place where adolescents and their families could find community, understanding, education, and hope at no cost.

Bella's story sparked a mission that continues to grow every day. And because of this community, more families know they don't have to walk this journey alone. 💜

We're here for you. bvtucson.org

"I can do hard things."

It's more than a phrase stamped onto a bracelet. It's a reminder we carry with us on the hard days, the days that feel overwhelming, uncertain, or impossible.

At Una Bella Vita Tucson, it's our motto because we've seen what courage looks like. We've seen adolescents choose recovery one moment at a time. We've seen parents keep showing up for their children even when they don't have all the answers. We've seen families rediscover hope.

Healing isn't easy and recovery isn't linear, but we truly believe that we were built to overcome the challenges placed before us.

If you're struggling today, let this be your reminder: you can do hard things. You don't have to do them perfectly, and you don't have to do them alone.

There is hope. There is healing. And there is a community here cheering you on. 💜

When our daughter Bella came home, we searched desperately for support, and had a hard time finding it. There were no partial hospitalization programs, inpatient programs, or intensive outpatient programs for adolescents in Tucson. A silence around us that felt overwhelming. We felt completely alone.

And then we had a thought that changed everything: we couldn't imagine another family going through this the same way we did, so we built what didn't exist.

Una Bella Vita Tucson was founded so that no Southern Arizona family has to navigate an eating disorder in isolation, without resources, without community, without hope.

Three years later, we're still here. Still showing up. Still making sure no one walks this road alone. 💜

What our processing groups actually look like ⬇️

No intake forms. No insurance cards. No co-pays. Just a warm room in Tucson, a facilitator who knows this journey firsthand, and a group of families who finally have somewhere to feel safe.

Our bi-weekly processing groups are free, open to adolescents AND their parents (in separate sessions), and designed around one belief: that community is medicine.

This is what your support makes possible. This is where families find their footing again.

Join us at our next processing group this Sunday, May 17th! Email [email protected] for any questions.

A single therapy appointment for an adolescent with an eating disorder costs around $120.

For a family already stretched thin, navigating school, insurance denials, and a child who is struggling, that number can mean the difference between getting help and waiting another month.

At Una Bella Vita Tucson, our community is who makes sure that gap gets filled. One appointment at a time. One family at a time.

This is what support looks like in Southern Arizona. Learn more about how we support Tucson families https://bvtucson.org/what-we-do 💜

Every May, the world talks about mental health.

We think about a specific kind of quiet, the kind that settles over a Tucson family when they realize their teenager is struggling with an eating disorder and they don’t know who to call.

Awareness campaigns matter. But so does a free support group that meets in your city every other week. So does a neighbor who will help you find a specialist and help cover the cost.

This Mental Health Awareness Month, we’re grateful to be Tucson’s resource, not a hotline, not a website, not a national campaign. Your neighbors. Your community.

If you know a family who needs us, share this post. It might be the thing that reaches them. 💜 Click the link in our bio to learn more about the no cost services we offer.

If you or someone you know has been furloughed or is an active member of the military and is not receiving a paycheck, we'd like to help. Food should not be a luxury.

We will have a limited number of $50 Visa gift cards available on November 2, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to noon. We have a limited quantity, so it's available on a first-come, first-served basis. We will have to end at noon so our group can start on time.

Please email [email protected] for the location. This is open to our Tucson community, even if you've never been to a Una Bella Vita Tucson group before.

Thank you to Dream Street Foundation for making this possible.
