Sons of Amvets, Post 0770 We are a nationwide 501c19 nonprofit veterans service organization comprised of male descendants of American veterans. AMVETS is a private organization.

Our kitchen and dining facilities are open for members with up to 3 guests but members can get “carry out orders” for the general public. We also admit members of the VFW, the American Legion, as well as their guests. Fund raising events are:
Breakfast is on the 3rd and 4th Sundays of the month from 9-11 am. Dinner is available on the 1st Saturday of the month from 4-6 pm.

Just some great news to pass along to all of our followers here on Facebook, all of our veterans we take care of, and our community no matter where we are.
Recognized this afternoon at the National Amvets convention, our squadron took first place in the nation for the second year in a row for community service. On top of that, the Department of Arizona Sons of Amvets received first in the nation.
Definitely high marks to our Sons and their efforts.

BUCK THE NORM!
After long consideration and consultation with Norm, he slept on it and gave us his response.
Effective on our next breakfast, 8/16, and from that point on, we will roll back our breakfast menu item pricing to pre covid prices. That’s a 20% to 30% reduction across the board.
Who does that?! We do.
Breakfast is served every 3rd and 4th Sunday of every month.
The Sons of Amvets would like to thank our post members for their support over the years. We are now in our 28th year as a squadron and the #1 squadron in the nation for community service.

To buck the norm means to resist, oppose, or go against standard social expectations, traditional rules, or conventional ways of behaving.
In this case, as you will find out, we have our veteran consultant, Norm, giving this a lot of thought and attention.
The rising price of food (our supplies to provide you with a good breakfast) has us in a quandary. Do we raise our prices to continue to provide you that same breakfast every 3rd and 4th Sunday morning or what are our other options?
