Sons officers at our other home, American Legion 59, participated in a fundraising event for the VA Patriot Pantry. We donated $2000 and they raised $825 in the dessert auction. Sons of the American Legion also donated $200.
Total raised tonight, $3025. Good job everyone.

Sons of Amvets members. Effective November 1, 2026, if you presently volunteer in the kitchen at the post, you are now required to be current on a food handlers permit whether it be from Pima County or through Serv Safe. We passed a motion months ago to fund this and your expense will be reimbursed by the Sons when you present your certificate to us.
There are no exceptions. No certificate? You will be asked to leave the kitchen.
All other entities utilizing a Sons volunteer in the kitchen, take note of this please.

This is the knowledge every employee needs to succeed when they take the ServSafe Food Handler Online Course & Assessment

An update to our banner yesterday.

Our fundraising history for many years revolved around the donations from our meals we serve here at the post. In the last three years or so, as our mobility scooter program has expanded and our funds grew through it, it allows us the opportunity to pass along savings to our members and guests, even with the rising grocery prices. We hope that you spread the word and bring your friends to share a breakfast experience from the Sons.
