It’s Earth Day!
Although I believe every Day should be Earth Day.
As many of you know, I’m co-authoring a book with Anna Consolazio, a Master of Health Candidate at George Washington University in DC, entitled,
“Climate Change:Renaissance and Revolution.” (It’s about 85% completed.)
Anaa who graduates in May with her MPH is in the midst of an internship with the Children’s Environmental Health Network. For Earth Day she wrote an article that appears on the CEHN Substack, “What Does Earth Day Mean in 2026?”

Sad to hear that Walter Reeves passed away this year after a battle with Parkinson’s Disease. For decades, Walter had a call-in Radio show on WSB, and answered gardening questions every week in The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
He also was a guest lecturer for the DeKalb County Master Gardener Program.
I am proud to say he often trumpeted the work of the Tucker Orchard Guild, and urged his listeners to get involved with us. To our surprise, he once visited us as we planted a 30-tree orchard at the senior center next to Tucker Middle School.
Walter will be missed by many of his devoted fans and listeners.

Vendors & Exhibitors
Most of our vendors are offering FREE samples while a few vendors will have items for sale. Stop by there tables to enjoy a nice treat!
• Just Add Honey will have free hot and cold tea samples and loose leaf tea for sale.
• L & S Sweets will have free assorted deserts.
• Little Tart Bakery will have an assortment of free small pastries both sweet and savory.
• Mami’s Empanadas will have a variety of free empanadas including vegetarian options and strawberry cheesecake.
• Ms. Haylene “The Garden Queen” will have free sorrel team and pumpkin soup for sale.
• Plant Lady Juice Co. will have free organic pressed juice samples
