Dr. Hicks is the founder and physician at About You Family Medicine, where she provides patient-centered care with a focus on prevention, lifestyle medicine, and long-term wellness. We’re proud to spotlight Dr. Susana Alfonso, MD, for her leadership and commitment to advancing family medicine across Georgia! 🎉

Dr. Alfonso is an Associate Professor in the Department of Family and Preventive Medicine at Emory University School of Medicine and serves as Medical Director of the Emory Physician Assistant Program. A board-certified family physician, she has more than 25 years of experience providing comprehensive, patient-centered care while helping shape the future of healthcare through education, quality improvement, and advocacy.

In addition to her clinical and academic work, Dr. Alfonso has served in numerous leadership roles, including AAFP's Delegate, where she championed initiatives that strengthen family medicine and support physicians across the state. 👏
