Since 2017, the WPF has partnered with the KwaZulu-Natal Poultry Institute (KZNPI) to expand access to practical, hands-on poultry training. Nearly a decade later, that work continues to help farmers build stronger, more resilient businesses.

Last month, KZNPI hosted a 3-day biosecurity training course, equipping poultry producers with practical skills to prevent disease, improve flock health, and strengthen on-farm management. It's another great example of how investing in education continues to create lasting impact.

For the WPF, a partnership is not about what we build together now. It's a commitment to building something that keeps working even after donor funding ends.

In Senegal, we're committed to our work alongside Couvoir Amar to strengthen poultry production through collaboration, shared learning, and ongoing technical support. Sustainable growth doesn't happen overnight, it happens when organizations work together, share knowledge, and invest in the long-term success of farmers and communities.

Every visit strengthens the partnerships that drive sustainable poultry production.

Recently in Lusaka Province, our team visited farmers, met with field staff, and reviewed progress with our partners at Hybrid Poultry Farm. It was encouraging to see steady growth throughout the program.

Just as importantly, the visit created opportunities to learn directly from farmers. Those conversations help shape future program planning and ensure our work continues to respond to farmers' needs.

Every challenge leaves behind a lesson.

Ten years of the Poultry Multiplication Initiative have taught us about sustainability, strong systems, partnership, and continuous improvement. Those lessons continue shaping how we work alongside our partners.

Sustainable growth is built through continuous learning.

Madagascar continues to demonstrate the value of investing in people. Through ongoing training, technical support, and close collaboration with our partners at LFL Madagascar, we're helping strengthen the knowledge and confidence of the teams who support farmers every day.

Every field visit, coaching session, and shared lesson contributes to stronger local capacity, creating poultry systems designed to continue growing long into the future.

Knowledge is most valuable when it's accessible.

The World Poultry Foundation continues to expand access to practical poultry training by making more educational resources available in additional languages.

We're pleased to share Module 8 in French, helping make technical knowledge more accessible for French-speaking farmers, trainers, and partners.

Healthy flocks start with knowledge. The WPF's Poultry Disease Management Manual helps farmers, extension officers, and Field Service Representatives prevent disease through good biosecurity measures, recognize the early signs of common diseases, and know when to call a vet.

Practical, field-focused, and free to download, it is one part of building the kind of poultry system where problems get caught early and farmers get the support they need.

Strong partnerships help knowledge go further.

In Lesotho, the World Poultry Foundation is helping strengthen poultry production by investing in practical training, technical resources, and local capacity. Through collaboration with our partners, we're working to equip poultry producers with the skills and confidence they need to build stronger, more sustainable poultry systems.

Every training session and shared resource is an investment in the future, supporting local knowledge that continues to benefit farmers and communities for years to come.

Every farm visit, training session, and simple conversation can be an investment in the future.

Whether coaching FSRs in Madagascar, strengthening farmer support in Zambia, or collaborating with partners across Africa, our goal is the same: build local knowledge that continues to grow long after our role is complete.

When knowledge is shared freely, confidence grows. Farmers make better decisions. Local teams become stronger. Communities become more resilient. That's what real sustainable development looks like.
