from NEA-Retired President Anita Gibson:

This year, NEA-Retired demonstrated what they can accomplish when they step up, think creatively, and reach out to one another. Thanks to your efforts, we welcomed thousands of new members—and that’s critical as the midterm elections approach. Our numbers are our superpower!

The election is less than a month away, but it’s not too late to make a difference. As a retired educator, you have experience, trusted relationships, and firsthand knowledge to share. Talk with parents, caregivers, neighbors, and friends about how decisions made at the local, state, and national levels impact schools, colleges, and universities. Help retired educators understand how elections impact their quality of life in retirement.

And, above all else, urge everyone to vote.

Our voice is our power! When educators promote the vote, we help to elect pro-public education candidates who support fully funded schools, better working conditions, and safe, healthy communities.

Educators are among the most trusted members of our communities. Find out how NEA members across the country are promoting the vote by having conversations with their friends and neighbors, and how it all adds up to big change.
