It's What We Need Wednesday! We have added a few more neighborhoods to our weekly donation collections and we can't thank you enough! This week's needs are Boy's bottoms - sizes 2T - 16 youth; Men's shirts - sizes 2XL-4XL; Men's pants and shorts sizes 36-48; Men's shoes sizes 8-11; youth shoes of all sizes and housewares are always in high demand. Our organization couldn't exist without the fabulous donors that continuously give to help us to continue our mission of ensuring refugees and immigrants are made to feel welcome in Georgia!

Yesterday, the Welcome Co-Op partnered with to host a vibrant group of 15 students from their Oglethorpe University Summer Bridge Program. Their energy was contagious and helped to accomplish a ton of work:

It's What We Need Wednesday! Thank you to all of our fabulous donors that have organized weekly donation collection drop offs in their neighborhoods to help fill the gaps in our Shop of Hope inventory, providing more options for the refugee families that shop with us. This week: boy's bottoms sizes 5-12, infants' sizes 0-9 months, men's bottoms sizes 36-48, men's belts of all lengths, men's and larger youth casual shoes plus housewares: plates, bowls, silverware, pots, pans, glasses and cups. Thank you for your generosity and for supporting our worthy cause.

Advocacy in action. The Welcome Co-Op supports the efforts of our valued member organization, New American Pathways in their efforts to advocate for refugees and immigrants. Let’s work together to ensure refugees and immigrants continue to feel welcome in Georgia!

New American Pathways is proud to stand with immigrants and refugees at We Are All America ’s National Refugee Advocacy Days. This week we're urging Congress to restore refugee admissions, defend asylum, protect TPS, and end travel bans.

The Power of Community was on display this month as Glenn Memorial United Methodist Church came together and hosted an essentials kit supply drive for The Welcome Co-Op. Thank you and the Glenn Memorial congregation for your generosity in providing these essentials for refugee families experiencing hardship during these difficult times. Today, The Welcome Co-Op had the pleasure of hosting this powerful group of ladies from ReSister Sisters that are doing great things in their communities. We were able to talk about the history of The Welcome Co-Op, the state of refugee resettlement, the current needs of refugees, and tour the facility to give them a better idea of what we do and how they may be able to support our mission. It's What We Need Wednesday! Thank you to our fabulous donors for your response to our requests each week. This week we are focusing on housewares (plates, bowls, cups, glasses (no wine glasses), silverware, pots and pans. Our clothing needs consist of: boys' bottoms sizes 5-12, infants 3-6 months, women's tops - XL & XXL, men's bottoms sizes 36-46, and men's and larger youth casual shoes likes sneakers and sandals.

It's back to school time and we had the pleasure of having these lovely young ladies from come and pass out school supplies today. These young ladies are doing great things in the community and giving back in a big way. Thank you New Roots Nonprofit!
