Anticipated - 2026 Rehab Project

We are seeking businesses, organizations, and community partners to transform an existing property into an affordable homeownership opportunity for a local family through in-kind donations, sponsorships, and strategic partnerships. Every contribution directly advances the work of restoring a home and expanding access to affordable housing.

Participation offers more than giving. Partners can volunteer on-site, receive project updates, meet the future homeowner, and attend the home dedication ceremony, experiencing the full impact of their support from start to finish.

If your organization is interested in getting involved, send us a message to learn more,

Johnny, a veteran, and his wife Theresa first purchased their home in the mid-1980s. There, they built their life and raised two children while forming countless friendships within their community. Now retired, Johnny and Theresa are experiencing changes in their abilities and finding it more difficult to manage the growing repair needs in their home.

They shared the challenges they’ve been facing, including roof leaks in the living room, warping steps, and damaged floors, doors, and windows. “With the help of your program, it would greatly improve our quality of life,” Johnny shared with David, our Program Manager. He continued, “It would resolve some of the stress I am facing and make my daily life easier.”

Despite the health changes they are navigating, Johnny and Theresa still deeply love their home and community. At Habitat DeKalb, our staff, volunteers, donors—and supporters like you—provide more than just critical repairs that help neighbors stay safe. We show up, we listen, and we help restore peace of mind for homeowners like Johnny and Theresa.
