The 100th anniversary of the official opening of Camp Gertrude Coleman in 1925 can now begin! The Historic Marker donated by the grass roots alumnae, Friends of Camp Coleman, in 2012, at the beginning of their successful Save Camp Coleman campaign, has been returned to its place of honor guarding the entrance on Camp Coleman Road!!!

Do you remember driving down Camp Coleman Road, across the one lane bridge, through the gate, along the Cahaba River, and seeing the Swinging Bridge come into view?!? Suddenly Memory Lodge appears, waiting to check you into camp! Thereβs Low Hall up the hill and the dinner bell is ringing!! Time for the Flag Ceremony!!
What are your favorite memories? What was your favorite unit? Did you ride horses? Where was your first campfire? Can you still sing the Camp Coleman song? Did you earn any badges? Attend Boat Float? Hike to The Caves or Fairy Rock?
Please βsing outβ if you have a memory from your days at Camp Coleman!
