In celebration of National Trails Day, take the first step, and join the 40...even if you never thought you could. 🥾✨

As Make-A-Wish Connecticut celebrates 40 years of wishes, we’re looking for 40 hikers to take on the Trailblaze Challenge on September 19 — a 26.2-mile journey filled with purpose, community, encouragement, and impact.

And before you say “I could never do that”…most of our hikers once said the exact same thing.

Trailblaze isn’t about being the fastest or most experienced person on the trail. It’s about showing up, pushing yourself farther than you thought possible, and hiking for children who need hope the most.

We train together. We support each other. We finish together.

But Eyden’s story is also one of strength, resilience, and hope. Today, this brave 7-year-old is thriving — and his joyful spirit continues to shine through it all as he waits for his wish to go to Rocking Horse Ranch to come true. 💙✨
