We know youth sports can sometimes feel like a lot, but at Blue Raiders, we’re all about keeping things local, affordable, and fun! We are proud to be a community-run program for families across Tompkins, Seneca, and Schuyler Counties.

Whether your child is a seasoned pro or has never picked up a pair of pom-poms, they have a place with us! Our program is open to kids ages 5-14 and no experience is ever required. It’s all about building confidence, making friends, and cheering on our team together. 💙📣

Before our athletes even hit the mat for the 2026-27 season, our coaches are already deep into the playbook. We’re currently mastering the newest spirit safety technical updates to ensure every stunt, tumble, and transition is executed with absolute precision and care.

At Fingerlakes Flyers, expert coaching means more than just teaching skills: it’s about creating a foundation of trust. By staying ahead of the curve on safety regulations, we give our flyers the confidence to push their limits and reach new heights. Walking into a new gym can be a little scary, but at Fingerlakes Flyers, that feeling doesn’t last long. We believe cheerleading is about so much more than just the stunts and the scores: it’s about finding a place where you truly belong.

Our older athletes take pride in being “big sisters” to our younger flyers, offering a helping hand and a friendly smile whenever it’s needed. Through our collaborative fundraising efforts, we work together to keep costs low and make cheerleading accessible to every young athlete in the Finger Lakes region. Good news, Flyers family! 🌟 We just got word that the USASF has officially confirmed: there will be no rule or age grid changes for the upcoming 2026-2027 season.

Why does this matter? It means our athletes can keep their momentum going without the stress of learning a whole new playbook. Instead of worrying about shifting regulations, our flyers can focus 100% on mastering their skills, perfecting their technique, and feeling totally confident heading into placements.

We love the stability this brings to our teams and families. It’s all about growth, friendship, and reaching those personal goals in an environment you already know and love. Let’s keep soaring!

On the blue mat, we’re more than just teammates: we’re a family that grows together.

At Fingerlakes Flyers, we believe every athlete deserves to feel like a star, and not just when they hit a perfect stunt. That’s why we make it a priority to celebrate every single birthday right here in the gym.

Whether it’s a quick song before practice starts or a special shoutout from the coaches, these moments are about making sure our kids feel seen, valued, and loved for exactly who they are. Cheerleading teaches us about athleticism and hard work, but these celebrations teach us about community and belonging.
