📣 CALL NYS SENATE AND ASSEMBLY LEADERSHIP TO SUPPORT NYS DATA CENTER MORATORIUM

The Cayuga Lake Watershed Network supports A.10141/S.9144, legislation that would temporarily pause permitting of new large-scale data centers while New York conducts a comprehensive review of their impacts on energy demand, water resources, utility costs, land use, greenhouse gas emissions, and community infrastructure.

A thoughtful, science-based approach today can help ensure that future decisions protect New York's people, natural resources, and local communities for generations to come.

We had folks from across Cayuga Lake Watershed and beyond come learn about using native plants for in the landscapes around our own homes. Thanks as always to Dan and Laurianne for sharing your expertise! 🌱 💧 🦋 🏡

Cayuga Lake boaters: did you know Myers Park has a free watercraft cleaning station at the launch? 🚤

The station has tools to help you Clean • Drain • Dry each time you launch or retrieve your boat, helping to reduce the spread of aquatic invasive species between waterways.

💨 Remove debris from cracks and crevices with the air blower
🧹 Brush off all plants and debris
🌿Remove plants from hard-to-reach places with the grabbers (check the boat & trailer!)
🔧 Use the drain plug wrench to help drain your boat
🌀 Use the wet vacuum to remove any water or debris that's left behind!

Small actions can make a big difference for Cayuga Lake and the Finger Lakes...and everyone loves a clean boat!

We got to spend a couple days in Lake George connecting with other lake groups and talking about solutions to problems many of our lakes are facing. What great representation from our Finger Lakes neighbors!
