Happy Menstrual Health Awareness Day! 🚺

Every year, MamaBird’s Flowmingo program provides thousands of period kits to students throughout our community, helping ensure that a lack of menstrual products never stands in the way of education.

Research shows that 2 in 5 girls have missed school because they didn’t have access to period products. Two in five is two too many.

Today, we’re raising awareness about period poverty in Northeastern Pennsylvania and working to bridge the gap so that every student has the products, dignity, and support they need to thrive.

Because periods shouldn’t be a barrier to education. Period. 💗

What started as a simple bag of period products has grown into Flowmingo — a community initiative dedicated to fighting period poverty and supporting girls throughout Northeastern Pennsylvania.

No big budget.
No fancy launch.
Just people who believed girls deserve dignity, support, and access to basic necessities.

Every kit packed, every donation made, and every conversation started has helped build something bigger than we ever imagined.

And we’re just getting started. 🤍
