YOUNG EAGLES FREE INTRO FLIGHTS

The local Truckee Tahoe Airport EAA 1073 Chapter would like to introduce the world of aviation to young people ages 8-17! Come take a free flight in a general aviation airplane with an experienced Young Eagles pilot.

When: Saturday, September 11, 2021 | 8:00 am - 10:30 am

Where: Truckee Tahoe Airport, (follow the signs). Enter at Gate 5 by the fire station off of Truckee Airport Rd.

* Please bring a face covering.

* For those that have flown before, please bring your logbooks.

* A pancake breakfast will also be available sponsored by EAA.

KTRK'S "PILOT AND PASSENGER OUTREACH COORDINATOR" EARNS COMMERCIAL PILOT CERTIFICATE!

Congratulations go out to Mr. Mark Covey, KTRK's Pilot & Passenger Outreach Coordinator! Mark completed his Commercial Pilot Certification on October 8, 2020 at the Silver Springs Airport. Mark used the Truckee Tahoe Airport District (TTAD) owned Cessna JT-A diesel 172 during the flight examination portion of the check ride.

Mr. Covey is also an Instrument Rated Pilot and has been employed by TTAD since June 2014. Mark and his wife Andrea and their dog Zoey reside in Truckee. Mr. Covey is an active member of the Tahoe Flying Club and a volunteer EAA "Young Eagle" Pilot.

Kudos Mr. Covey!
