Send It

Send It Inspiring positivity, enthusiasm, pushing boundaries, testing limits and living life to the fullest every day There is no end in sight for my fight.

Send It is built to represent positivity, enthusiasm, pushing boundaries, testing limits and living life to the fullest every day. Two years ago I was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer called a Synovial Sarcoma. In the past 2 years, I have endured 22 chemo treatments, 33 doses of radiation, and over 20 hours of surgery. I will be treated with chemotherapy for as long as I live or until a better

option surfaces. The fight has been long and challenging but I have been lucky to have the amazing support of my family, my friends and the inspiration of outdoor adventure and activities. My love for skiing, biking, hiking, paddle boarding and more has kept me positive, happy, and fighting hard. With the help of friends and family, I have formed the Send It Foundation – a non-profit organization that will provide these experiences to cancer patients and survivors. A portion of proceeds of each sale of Send It merchandise will go towards the Send It Foundation to help provide these adventures for other cancer fighters and survivors - www.SenditFoundation.org

Thank You for your support!!

We’re grateful to , the Official Food & Wellness Sponsor of Send It programs.

Food is a big part of every Send It adventure. After a big day in the mountains, something shifts around the dinner table. The gear comes off, the walls come down, and the stories come out. People who met just days ago start to feel like old friends.

For young adults facing cancer, nourishing meals are an essential part of care. On Send It adventures, food fuels our bodies for movement and play, and just as importantly, creates space to slow down, connect, and build community.

Thanks to Raley’s, we can provide thoughtfully prepared meals that nourish participants and remind them they are deeply cared for.

Thank you, Raley’s, for believing in the power of nourishment, wellness, and community. 💛

Spread the Send It Love — Try One of Chef Steph's Recipes at Home

This one is always a HUGE crowd favorite!

Ingredients:
• 1 head green cabbage, core mostly removed, sliced into 1-inch wedges
• ¼–½ cup tahini
• 2–3 tbsp sesame oil
• ⅓+ cup roasted pistachios, chopped
• ⅓+ cup pitted dates, chopped
• Salt & pepper to taste

Directions:
Drizzle the cabbage wedges with sesame oil and sprinkle with salt & pepper. Using a preheated grill or large skillet on high heat, char the cabbage wedges on both sides until slightly blackened and then remove from heat and place in a baking dish, slightly overlapping. Drizzle with tahini, then cover the pan in aluminum foil and place in a preheated 400° oven. Roast for 20 minutes or until cabbage is fork tender. Remove foil and continue to roast for 5-10 minutes until edges are slightly browned.

Meet one of our beloved Send It chefs: Chef Steph. 💛

"The kitchen is the heart of the home. It's a place of warmth and nourishment, and there's a reason people naturally gather there during events. As an extension of that warmth, I prepare each meal for participants with care, intention, and love.

These trips mean long days—often 12+ hours in the kitchen—and they are truly the chef's version of a marathon. And I love every minute of it. This is how I Send It.

The experience is incredibly meaningful and rewarding, and I am honored to be part of such a special organization. I treasure every connection I've made over the years and hope that everyone who has shared a meal with me could taste the love that went into it."

Thank you to the Sierra Sun and for sharing the story of how the Truckee/Tahoe community has shown up for the Send It Foundation since day one.

From donated lift tickets and gear to meals, guides, lodging, transportation, fundraising support, and warmly welcoming young adults impacted by cancer into the mountain community, so many individuals, businesses, and partners have helped make Send It programs possible.

We’re deeply grateful for the Truckee/Tahoe community and everyone who continues to show up for Send It and our participants.
