Send It

Send It Inspiring positivity, enthusiasm, pushing boundaries, testing limits and living life to the fullest every day There is no end in sight for my fight.

Send It is built to represent positivity, enthusiasm, pushing boundaries, testing limits and living life to the fullest every day. Two years ago I was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer called a Synovial Sarcoma. In the past 2 years, I have endured 22 chemo treatments, 33 doses of radiation, and over 20 hours of surgery. I will be treated with chemotherapy for as long as I live or until a better

option surfaces. The fight has been long and challenging but I have been lucky to have the amazing support of my family, my friends and the inspiration of outdoor adventure and activities. My love for skiing, biking, hiking, paddle boarding and more has kept me positive, happy, and fighting hard. With the help of friends and family, I have formed the Send It Foundation – a non-profit organization that will provide these experiences to cancer patients and survivors. A portion of proceeds of each sale of Send It merchandise will go towards the Send It Foundation to help provide these adventures for other cancer fighters and survivors - www.SenditFoundation.org

Thank You for your support!!

“Coming back home, I’ve carried the spirit of “Send It” with me — saying yes to things that  challenge me, trusting myself more, and leaning into community. It reminded me that healing doesn’t happen alone, and that there is so much strength in shared experiences.

Send It, to me, means stepping into life fully…even when it’s uncomfortable, even when it’s uncertain. It means choosing courage, connection, and joy. I’m so grateful I had the opportunity to be part of this experience, to meet such incredible people, and to discover a new version of myself along the way.”

In recognition of AYA Awareness Week, we’re sharing voices and resources from across the Adolescent and Young Adult (AYA) cancer community.

Today, we’re honored to share a conversation with Pam Simon, Program Manager of the Stanford Adolescent and Young Adult Cancer Program.

We first met Pam in 2014, when Send It was just getting started and she was building the Stanford AYA Cancer Program. She was instrumental in connecting us with some of our very first participants. Over the past decade, Pam has supported hundreds of young adults navigating cancer and helped advocate for the unique needs of this often-overlooked population.

Send It Executive Director Katie Schou sat down with Pam to reflect on what she has learned from working so closely with this community.

Katie and Caroline recently sat down with Send It alumni, cancer survivor, and What I Wish I Knew Cancer Podcast co-host McKenna Avery to share the story of Send It.

They talk about grief, carrying Jamie’s legacy forward, the transformations they’ve witnessed in participants, and the real need for spaces where young adults can step outside of their diagnosis, feel like themselves again, and find community.

Listen and share.

It’s AYA Awareness Week. Each year, more than 85,000 Adolescents and Young Adults (AYAs) ages 15–39 are diagnosed with cancer in the U.S.

Alongside the many amazing organizations that support, serve, and advocate for this community, we’re raising awareness, sharing resources, and highlighting voices across the AYA cancer community.
