Join us for our next "Why Music Matters" free community lecture on Friday, June 5 at 6pm at Little Bird Music (11429 Donner Pass Rd) featuring JJ Morgan.

We are honored to welcome JJ Morgan, founder and executive director of Moody’s Jazz Camp, who will share his reflections on 20 years of the camp. He has been a driving force behind the region’s vibrant music scene since 2005. JJ brings a rare ability to blend music, community, and experience—helping shape Truckee into an unexpected hub where music truly matters.

The Community Arts Showcase last Friday showed us just how vibrant and diverse the performing arts are in the Truckee Tahoe community.

Thank you to the community for coming out to support! And a special thanks to all the performers, directors, instructors, donors and volunteers. None of this happens without you!

Our young musicians shared their talents with the senior community at Tahoe Forest Hospital Extended Care Facility as part of the Sounds of Music program hosted by MusicWings.

Students from Little Bird Music, Inc , no matter their age, instrument, or level, had the chance to perform, and they filled the room with the kind of joy and healing that only live music can bring. These moments are always deeply moving, and a beautiful reminder of music's power in a therapeutic setting.

Wow, what a night!

Last night's Community Arts Showcase reminded us of why this community is so incredibly special. The talent, the heart, and the joy filled every corner of the room.

A sincere thank you to all the performers who shared their gifts with us as well to the directors and instructors who helped make everyone shine. And a special thank you to our volunteers, who made the whole evening run smoothly. None of this happens without you.

We're grateful for a community that comes together like this. More pictures coming!
