Gerald Herrick has a strong background in public service, with over four years on the Truckee Fire Protection District Board, first from 2010 to 2014, and again from 2016. He’s actively served in roles such as the Truckee Tahoe Airport Citizen Advisory Team, Truckee Chamber of Commerce, and Rotary Club of Truckee. As a former public-school administrator and firefighter, Gerald brings valuable leadership to the Fire District Board, overseeing initiatives like fleet upgrades, strategic planning, and wildfire prevention programs. Lindsay Romack has proudly called Truckee home for 16 years, evolving from a college graduate and ski enthusiast to an engaged community member, homeowner, and new mom. She is committed to ensuring that Truckee remains a place where others can thrive and put down roots. Her experience in local government provides her with valuable insight into the challenges facing our region. With a decade of hosting the morning show on Truckee Tahoe Radio, serving on the Sierra Community House Board, graduating from the North Lake Tahoe Truckee Leadership program, and volunteering for the Truckee Follies, Lindsay is well-equipped to lead. As a Town Council member, she will focus on key issues like housing, sustainability, inclusion, transportation, and the ongoing impacts of the pandemic on our community's health and economy. CATT PAC is proud to endorse Courtney Henderson for Town of Truckee, Town Council. Courtney, a passionate advocate for community and environmental issues, fell in love with Truckee in 2011 and quickly made it her home. Elected to the Town of Truckee Town Council in 2020, she was soon nominated as Vice Mayor and served as Mayor in 2022. Courtney values her interactions with constituents, actively seeking diverse perspectives and fostering collaboration. With 20 years of experience as an energy, climate, and health strategist, Courtney has worked across the U.S. and internationally, helping utility companies and public health organizations achieve their goals. Currently the Head of Market Strategy for Resource Innovations, she drives innovation and policy efforts to support a cleaner, more equitable energy future. Courtney also has a strong commitment to education, having mentored nearly 100 early-career students in public health. She holds a Bachelor’s from Cornell University, a Master’s from Brown University, and a Doctorate from UC Berkeley.

Barney Dewey is a recognized expert in wireless communication, a dedicated community volunteer, and a full-time Truckee resident. He actively participates in local meetings for the Town of Truckee, Truckee Tahoe Airport, Tahoe Forest Health System, and Truckee Donner PUD, advocating for better collaboration among agencies. With extensive experience in technical engineering and senior marketing roles at Apple and Motorola, Barney emphasizes the importance of leveraging technology for reliable power and water. He has also served on the Peardale-Chicago Park Fire Protection District board and volunteers with Meals on Wheels, the Truckee Tax Measure Citizens Oversight Board, and the Truckee Police Chief’s Advisory Committee. A family man, Barney lives with his wife Nancy, their dog Zoë, and has two daughters and four grandchildren. He is committed to ensuring Truckee remains a vibrant home for future generations.

CATT PAC Endorses forty year resident of Placer County, Cindy Gustafson for Placer County Board of Supervisors, District 5. Cindy has a long history of both career and volunteer service in the county. In 1991 she joined the Tahoe City Public Utility District where she worked for 26 years. During her career, she secured and administered $30 million in grant funding for a variety of capital projects including bike trails, sidewalks, water and sewer system upgrades, community buildings, public parks, beaches, and environmental restoration projects. She also served on the California State Fish and Game Commission, Tahoe Truckee Unified School District Board of Trustees, the Placer County Transportation Planning Commission and helped found the Tahoe Truckee Excellence in Education Foundation and the Tahoe Fund. In 2017, Cindy retired from local government to become the CEO of the North Lake Tahoe Resort Association and North Tahoe Chamber. She was later appointed District 5 Supervisor for Placer County and elected to continue in that role in March 2020. Her commitment to public service includes various elected and appointed positions, all focused on community engagement and implementing complex public policies.

Currently serving as President, Jeff was re-elected in 2020, with his term set to expire in December 2024. A dedicated community member, Jeff resides in Truckee with his family and has a strong commitment to enhancing local utility services. As the owner of Bender Engineering Commissioning and Jeff Bender Construction, Jeff brings a wealth of experience in energy management, mechanical engineering, and renewable energy technologies. His qualifications include being a licensed Professional Mechanical Engineer and a class B general contractor in California. Jeff’s expertise extends to green building practices, making him a valuable asset for TDPUD. In addition to his professional achievements, Jeff has actively contributed to the community by serving on the Truckee Planning Commission and the town’s Green Building Committee. His unique blend of technical knowledge and community service makes him the perfect candidate for TDPUD.
