Made in Tahoe was a blast this weekend! It takes a village--literally a Palisades Village!--to make this all come together for our non-profit.

Thank you Cameron at Palisades Tahoe for setting TTSM up for success. Emerson at Tahoe National Brewing Co. for another fun year working the taps with you. Tim High for running sound on the First Street Stage. Maxx & Ashley with Tahoe Cocktails for the delicious seasonal drinks to keep shoppers in the spirit of fall. All the amazing Volunteers who were just the best. And of course to the bands & musicians, who kept the beat & all the attendees dancing & groovin into the change of seasons.

Made in Tahoe Day 1 is a wrap! Thank you to all the musicians who rocked out on both stages, our volunteers keeping the party going, and everyone who bought drinks with us today.

TTSM is the beneficiary this year, and proceeds from the Events Plaza Stage & B**r Garden bars goes to affordable lessons, instrument loans, scholarships & keeping the music playing in our Tahoe-Truckee community.

🎶 We still need 10 volunteers for Made in Tahoe this weekend! 🍻

TTSM is honored to be the beneficiary of the Made in Tahoe Festival, October 10–11 at The Village at Palisades Tahoe. All proceeds from the festival bars benefit Tahoe Truckee School of Music and help us get closer to our $40K fundraising goal!

We still need help at the B**r & Cocktail Bars:

Saturday, Oct. 10
• 2 volunteers: 11 AM–2 PM
• 2 volunteers: 2–5 PM

Sunday, Oct. 11
• 3 volunteers: 11 AM–2 PM
• 3 volunteers: 2–5 PM

🎶 Introducing Fundraising Fridays at Cottonwood! 🎶

Friday nights in Truckee just got even better! Tahoe Truckee School of Music is teaming up with Cottonwood Restaurant & Bar for Fundraising Fridays — where local musicians donate their time and talent to help keep music playing in our community.

We’re kicking things off this Friday, October 2nd with the Truckee Jazz Combo, featuring David Galson & Dan Leighton, from 6:00–8:30 PM.
🌲 Live jazz in the mountains
🍽️ Delicious food & drinks
🎶 Local musicians supporting local music
❤️ Opportunities to donate throughout the evening

So grab some friends, settle in for dinner & drinks, and enjoy a great night of live music — all while supporting the school!

Your donations help TTSM make music accessible throughout Tahoe-Truckee through scholarships, school music programs, free instrument loans, camps, workshops and community performances. Our mission is to cultivate life skills and community through music for everyone, regardless of age, experience, ability or financial resources.

A huge THANK YOU to our musicians for volunteering their talents and to Cottonwood for helping us turn Friday nights into something that gives back.

ONE LAST NIGHT OF MUSIC IN THE DOWNTOWN PARK! 

Summer is winding down, those crisp fall evenings are starting to roll into Truckee… so let’s send the season out with some LIVE MUSIC!

Rhythmia brings together an incredible group of Reno-area musicians with a sound that moves through Latin rhythms, jazz, soul, hip-hop and neo-soul, with plenty of creative, genre-bending energy mixed in. Expect serious musicianship, great grooves and music made for a beautiful evening outside.

Come & groove to the "Fabulous Medicine Show", featuring 7 string bassist Edo Castro-Woodhouse, guitarist Peter Fujii, keyboardist Max Marlowe & Dr. Eric Smith on percussion! They will be bringing their musical tonics and elixirs to the CAC Downtown Park tonight in Truckee from 6:00 to 8:00 pm! Admission is free and open to all ages. This will be Eric Smith's last live show before his move to Santa Fe, so let's celebrate music & all Doc has shared us with over the years in Truckee together! ❤️ 🎶

Congratulations to The Wreckords & special guest Abigail Creighton for taking the win at the Guitar Strings & Chicken Wings event at The Village at Palisades Tahoe last night!

We’re especially proud to give a big shout-out to Subra & Abigail, who are both incredible Tahoe Truckee School of Music instructors. We love seeing our TTSM teachers out in the community doing what they do best—making great music and inspiring others along the way!

Because your instrument isn’t the only thing that needs tuning!

Young musicians spend a lot of time learning how to play better — practicing chords, rhythms, technique, timing and performance. But learning how to relax the body, quiet a busy mind, release tension and reset can be just as important.

That’s what ROCK. REST. RESET. is all about. ❤️

Join us Saturday, September 19th at Tahoe Truckee School of Music for a special workshop created with young musicians in mind — and parents are welcome too!

Through massage and body-awareness techniques, breathwork, rhythm, humming and sound, participants will learn simple tools they can use before practice, after playing, when they’re feeling stressed, or anytime their body and brain need a reset.

🎸 Meet our workshop leaders:

🔶Kendra Cromwell — Massage Therapist and owner of Truckee Massage & Wellness Center. A North Lake Tahoe local, Kendra leads a practice focused on therapeutic bodywork, reducing stress and tension, injury prevention & helping people better understand how everyday habits affect their bodies.

⭐Ryan Wichert — Licensed Massage Therapist, Tahoe local & former professional snowboarder, surfer and skateboarder. Ryan brings an athlete’s understanding of how much we ask of our bodies, along with his massage training and passion for helping people feel and perform their best.

🔵Rachel Flower — Sound artist, breathwork facilitator and founder of Soul Flower Somatics. Rachel works with breath, sound, rhythm and somatic practices to help people reconnect with their bodies, settle the nervous system and find greater presence and awareness.
