2021 is winding down, but Sierra-wide solutions and opportunities are only ramping up here at Sierra Business Council.

Over the coming year, we will continue our work building thriving post-COVID Sierra economies, advancing recovery initiatives in wildfire impacted communities, increasing state investments in the region, accelerating workforce housing solutions, expanding regional capacity for climate adaptation and mitigation efforts, and more.

Thanks to supporters like you, we will continue to be prepared to meet future challenges in the region head-on. We had a tremendous outpouring of support on Giving Tuesday and have raised over $21,000 this giving season. Thank you to all who have donated in support of our vision of a restored, revitalized, resilient Sierra region.

The contributions we have recieved so far have helped us chip away at our goal to raise a grand total of $30,000 throughout the year-end giving season! To help us reach this goal, you can forward this email to folks who love the Sierra as much as you do and ask them to join you as an SBC donor.

To make a donation in support of Sierra Business Council's work on behalf of the region, please follow the link below.

Thank you for helping us help the Sierra!

Please be advised that there are several severe fires burning in the Sierra Nevada, including several high-profile travel destinations.

It is currently UNSAFE to travel to the Tahoe region due to the Caldor Fire, which is currently burning in South Lake Tahoe and towards Kirkwood.

As of Aug. 26, 2021, the Lake Tahoe Visitors Authority is recommending visitors postpone any immediate travel plans to the area until further notice. Get the latest information here: tahoesouth.com

It is also UNSAFE to travel within the vicinity of the Dixie Fire in Butte, Plumas, Tehama, Shasta, and Lassen counties.

Thank you for being a responsible traveler in the Sierra, even when it means you may need to cancel, postpone, or change to a plan B and travel somewhere not impacted by the fires.
