Thank you to the Iowa City Community! We raised over $600 from the Clothing Swap & Pizza Pop-Up event that was held on Saturday April 18. Thanks to your generosity we will be able to provide over 9,000 meals to families in need.

Special shout out to David and Liv from for helping plan and execute this event, and of course, for making some delicious pizzas! We appreciate all your hard work and support.

Our numbers from last year are finally in, and they are great 🍾🍾🍾

In 2024 we hit the half a million meals provided mark, having now provided approximately 520,000 meals since we started in 2020.

2024 was also when reached our 10 million lbs. of CO2 sequestered benchmark. As of now, we’ve reduced greenhouse gas emissions by approximately 12.4 million lbs. of CO2 and 33,000 lbs. of methane.

This was our best year yet, and we couldn’t have done it without our support.

Think this giving Tuesday. With $1 providing 20 meals to a family in need, you have a chance to make a huge impact. Because we work with food recovery, the same donation also decreases greenhouse gas emissions. It’s only $13 to go carbon neutral for December and feed two families for a month in the process.

Thank you board member for helping plant 125 native saplings in Ryerson’s Woods State Preserve in Iowa last week. Did you know that the average adult tree absorbs close to 50 lbs. of CO2 from the atmosphere ever year? That’s called

This brings us closer to our goal of 200,000 trees. We are at 70,373 trees planted and counting. For each tree planted, we match an extra meal to a family in need at the end the year.

All trees planted in our name have been planted by volunteers. We spend no money on these projects. Wanna plant a tree? Reach out to get involved today!

Today, we celebrate the World Food Day. Organized by the UN, it’s an important day to raise awareness about hunger around the world. The UN says, that there’s still around 733 million people that face hunger around the world. The theme for 2024 is: “Foods for a better life and a better future”. Full Belly, since 2020, is part of this movement. Aiming to offer quality food for families in need and reducing food waste. Come, get to know us better, and be a part of our history!

💖 For many mothers in our community, love is constant, but meals are not always guaranteed. That’s why, here at Full Belly Brasil, we are committed to helping these needy families by providing nutritious meals and support when they need it most.
