🍂 선선한 가을바람과 함께 찾아온 10월의 K-WAVE DAY!
이번에는 한국의 전통의상 체험과 한국 라면 럭키드로우를 통해 학생들과 즐거운 시간을 보냈습니다.

한복에 담긴 한국의 전통과 멋을 경험하고, 아름다운 트로이대학교 캠퍼스를 배경으로 폴라로이드 사진도 남기며 특별한 추억을 만들었습니다. 또한, 럭키드로우를 통해 다양한 한국 라면을 만나는 시간에는 학생들의 기대와 즐거움이 더해졌습니다.

다음 K-WAVE DAY에서는 또 어떤 즐거운 만남이 기다리고 있을까요? 앞으로 이어질 K-EDU센터의 이야기에 많은 관심과 기대 부탁드립니다!

October 14, 2026 I K-WAVE DAY: Try on Hanbok, Dive into the Beauty of Korea

🍂 K-WAVE DAY was back this October with lots of fun and smiles!
This time, students got to try on traditional Korean clothing, Hanbok, and enter a lucky draw to win Korean Ramen.

Students enjoyed trying on Hanbok and taking Polaroid photos with the beautiful Troy University campus in the background. They also had fun discovering different kinds of Korean Ramen through the lucky draw.

🇰🇷 10월 9일은 한글날입니다.

한글날은 세종대왕이 창제한 우리 고유의 문자인 한글의 가치와 의미를 기념하는 날입니다.

한글은 조선시대 세종대왕이 백성들이 누구나 쉽게 읽고 쓸 수 있도록 만든 문자로, 1443년에 창제되어 1446년 『훈민정음』을 통해 세상에 널리 알려졌습니다.
특히, 한글은 자음과 모음이 일정한 원리에 따라 만들어지고, 소리를 과학적으로 표현할 수 있도록 체계적으로 구성된 문자라는 점에서 독창성을 인정받고 있습니다.

이번 한글날에는 내 이름이나 좋아하는 단어를 한글로 직접 써보는 건 어떨까요?

🇰🇷 October 9 – Hangul Day

Hangul Day celebrates Hangul, the Korean alphabet created by King Sejong the Great.

Hangul was created so that everyone could easily learn to read and write. It was created in 1443 and introduced to the public in 1446 through "Hunminjeongeum", a document explaining the principles of the Korean writing system.
Hangul is known for its unique and systematic design, with consonants and vowels created according to clear principles that reflect the sounds they represent.

This Hangul Day, why not try writing your name or a favorite word in Hangul?

It commemorates the founding of Gojoseon by Dan-gun, the legendary founder and ancestor of the Korean people. It is a meaningful day to reflect on our history, heritage, and roots.
May this day be an opportunity to remember where we come from and reflect on the significance of our shared history.

Sep. 19–20, 2026 | Korean Festival in Atlanta 🇰🇷

K-EDU센터는 9월 19일부터 20일까지 이틀간 「2026. 애틀랜타 코리안 페스티벌」 에 참여해 체험부스를 운영했습니다.

한인 가족을 비롯한 한국문화에 관심있는 다양한 방문객들이 부스를 찾아주셔서 태극기, 무궁화 등 전통 문양 타투 체험을 하며 K-EDU센터를 소개하고 전남광주 교육을 알리는 뜻깊은 시간을 가졌습니다.

특히, 이준호 애틀랜타 총영사님과 박은석 애틀랜타 한인회장님께서도 부스를 찾아주셔서 더욱 반갑고 감사한 시간이었습니다!

앞으로도 K-EDU센터는 교육과 문화를 잇는 다양한 만남을 통해 전남광주의 교육 가치를 널리 알리고, 세계와 함께하는 교육 교류를 이어가겠습니다.

The K-EDU Center was excited to take part in the “2026 Korean Festival in Atlanta” on September 19–20, where we hosted an interactive booth and had the opportunity to connect with so many wonderful people.

We welcomed Korean families as well as visitors who were interested in Korean culture. They enjoyed traditional Korean tattoo designs, including the Taegeuk symbol and Mugunghwa (Rose of Sharon), while learning more about the K-EDU Center and the education of JeonnamGwangju.

We were especially happy to welcome Consul General Lee Jun-ho and Atlanta Korean Association President Park Eun-seok to our booth. Their visit made the event even more special!

We look forward to continuing to connect education and culture, sharing the educational values of JeonnamGwangju and building meaningful opportunities for educational and cultural exchange around the world. 🌎🇰🇷

함평골프고등학교에서 오는 11월 골프고 학생들의 방문을 앞두고 사전답사를 위해 K-EDU센터를 찾아주셨습니다.

학생들의 의미 있는 방문과 알찬 프로그램을 위해 함께 이야기를 나누고, 앞으로의 일정을 꼼꼼히 준비하는 시간을 가졌습니다.

11월에 만날 학생들을 기다리며, 학생들에게 뜻깊고 즐거운 경험과 배움의 시간이 될 수 있도록 잘 준비하겠습니다!⛳️

Hampyeong Golf High School visited the K-EDU Center for a pre-visit site tour ahead of the golf students’ visit scheduled for November.

We had a meaningful time discussing the students’ upcoming visit and programs, while going over the schedule and details to make their experience both meaningful and enriching.

We look forward to welcoming the students in November and will do our best to make their visit a meaningful and enjoyable learning experience!⛳️
