Sunday Recap | When Enough Is Not Enough
Yesterday’s message was rooted in John 17:13–19 — “They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.”
We were reminded that our human nature longs to belong and that we often feel the weight of expectations placed on us. In that pursuit, we can find ourselves trying to extract joy from the things of this world—when Scripture clearly reminds us that the joy of the Lord is our strength.
The message challenged us to reflect on how our desire to belong can sometimes pull us away from truth. It spoke to the emptiness so many experience today, not from a lack of things, but from searching for fulfillment in places it was never meant to be found.
We were encouraged to be mindful of how comfortable we become with culture, to remember that everything a believer truly needs is already found in Christ, and to stand firm in truth—even when agreement feels easier than obedience.
Yesterday was a powerful reminder that we don’t have to blend in to belong.
We are set apart, deeply loved, and fully equipped. 🤍
