Troy Community Chorus The Troy Community Chorus was founded by Shirley Darge in November 1978. Their first performance was Handel’s “Messiah” in December of that year.

Troy Community Chorus is a 100+ member adult SATB (4-part harmony) choir made up of voices from across the metropolitan Detroit area who share a love of singing, a desire to develop their vocal skills, and a commitment to having fun along the way! It began as a community education class called “Troy All City Choir” and was sponsored by the City of Troy Parks and Recreation Department for many year

Today, the Troy Community Chorus, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, is a 100+ member adult SATB (4-part harmony) choir made up of voices from across the metropolitan Detroit area who share a love of singing, a desire to develop their vocal skills, and a commitment to having fun along the way. We embrace singers from all backgrounds, and musical experiences, and are always eager to add talented voices to our ever-growing membership! OUR CHORUS WELCOMES ADULT SINGERS WHO:
~ Have a passion for music and performance.
~ Demonstrate the ability to sing by matching pitches and musical patterns with a pleasing vocal tone.*
~ Commit to rehearsal attendance every Tuesday from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

The Troy Community Chorus is welcoming members to join its 2026 Fall Season. Registration will take place on Tuesday, September 8 & 15 at Troy First United Methodist Church- 6363 Livernois Road, Troy, MI 48098 from 6:00 – 7:00 followed by a full rehearsal from 7:00 – 9:00. Cost is $45/individual or $80/couple.

The Holiday Concert is scheduled to take place on Sunday, December 6 at 3:00 pm.

Congratulations to Omar Amari, who was one of 8 finalists in the Sutton Foster Awards at the Center on May 31st, honoring the best of Michigan's high school musical talent. Omar was our 2025 TCC Scholarship Winner and star of this year's Troy high school musical, "Les Miserables".
