Congratulations to Marriott's Grande Ocean on achieving Gold recertification in our Green Hospitality Program! ๐Ÿ†๐Ÿ‘

At Marriott's Grande Ocean, sustainability goes beyond operational practices and becomes part of how guests experience Hilton Head Island. Through educational beach walks and wildlife programming, the property helps guests better understand the coastal environment while supporting broader efforts to protect local species, including sea turtles and birds of prey. ๐Ÿข๐Ÿฆ…

One of the property's most creative initiatives is its Sharing Shack, which gives beach toys, floats, and other vacation items a second life rather than sending them to a landfill. Combined with the resort's strong waste diversion efforts, it's a simple idea making a meaningful impact. ๐ŸŒฟโ™ป๏ธ

These efforts are strengthened by the property's close connections with local conservation and community organizations, helping extend the impact beyond the resort while encouraging guests and associates to play a role in protecting Hilton Head's natural resources. ๐ŸŒฑ๐Ÿ’š

Congratulations to the entire team on this well-deserved Gold recognition!

Congratulations to The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island on achieving Gold recertification in our Green Hospitality Program! ๐Ÿ†๐Ÿ‘

The property continues to set a high standard for sustainability through innovative programs that connect environmental stewardship with guest experiences. Daily nature walks introduce guests to the island's unique ecosystems, highlighting the resort's beehives, greenhouse, and sea turtle conservation efforts while helping foster a deeper appreciation for the natural environment. ๐ŸŒฟ๐Ÿข

The resort also demonstrates a strong commitment to conservation through its support of on-site marine biology research, contributing to the protection and understanding of local dolphins and other coastal wildlife. Alongside these efforts, solar energy installations, food waste diversion partnerships with local farms, and extensive water conservation initiatives help reduce the property's environmental footprint. โ˜€๏ธ๐ŸŒŽ

Beyond the resort, The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island works closely with local organizations, artisans, and community partners to support sustainability initiatives that strengthen connections between guests, the community, and the surrounding environment. ๐Ÿค๐Ÿ’š

Benjamin Hone, an MFA candidate in Product Design at the School of Visual Arts and an avid golfer, discovered Monarchs in the Rough through signage at Skyway Golf Course. Inspired by the program, he developed a game designed to raise awareness of monarch conservation while generating funds to support milkweed seed distribution on golf courses.

The project explores ways to encourage sports fans to take climate action through a fun, interactive experience. We greatly appreciate Ben's creativity and support in helping promote this important initiative and furthering pollinator conservation efforts.

Congratulations to The Broadmoor Golf Club on becoming recertified as an ACSP Golf Course this past May! The club has made and maintained tremendous strides in its environmental initiatives and stewardship efforts, and we commend the team for their continued dedication to ensuring the course coexists harmoniously with the surrounding natural environment.

One aspect we would particularly like to highlight is the extensive greenhouse maintained on the property. Annuals, perennials, vegetables, and other crops are grown on-site and utilized throughout the course and in the club's kitchen. This area serves as an excellent resource for cultivating native plants and producing fresh food locally, while also providing a unique educational opportunity for club and community members. Through hands-on involvement with planting and learning about the various species being grown, participants can develop a deeper appreciation for the property's environmental efforts.

Congratulations again on achieving ACSP recertification. We look forward to hearing about your continued success as environmental stewards and the positive impact your initiatives will continue to have on both the property and the surrounding community.

Congratulations to Marriott's Harbour Point and Marriott's Sunset Pointe on their Silver recertification in our Green Hospitality Program! ๐Ÿ‘

Sustainability here goes beyond operational improvements and becomes part of the guest experience. Through environmental presentations, locally sourced products, community food drives, and incentives for guests to reduce housekeeping services, the property creates meaningful opportunities for visitors and owners to support positive environmental and community impact. ๐ŸŒŽ

Behind the scenes, the team strengthens its efforts through water-use tracking, drought-tolerant landscaping, energy-efficient systems, and programs that give retired linens, soaps, and guest amenities a second life through donation and recycling initiatives. โ™ป๏ธ
